Good morning Saturday

Postby Ally » 31 Aug 2019, 05:51

Good morning.

Hot. 8-)

Plan to just relax today. The kitchen and all upstairs is now back to normal. :cute: :cute:

The hall, stairs, landing and lounge painting will start on Tuesday then apart from the new sofas being delivered on the 20th and the new lounge furnishings that's it! Worked really hard so a few days off will be very welcome. Oh Jo....we settled on my choice of kitchen table and chairs. :P ;)

We moved to Spain 16 years ago today so off out tonight for a few beers and dinner at the Thai restaurant. :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Going to be another rather warm day 8-)

Happy moving to Spain Day Ally :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

We're off to Ourique soon, to the GNR  When I rang last night, Sr Luis asked us to come in this morning, they were too busy last night to come out. So hopefully, this will be the last time. Think they're getting as fed up as us

The plan was to do the cleaning this morning, before it gets too hot, but we'll just play it by ear now. Will be in the pool later and there is curry  for dinner.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I misunderstood Sr Luis, but it was good to find out what is happening.

The GNR have already seen next door about the noise, which they are disputing  But as Luis said, he heard them  The neighbours also said they have 3 dogs, when we know they have 4 :?

They couldn't come up last night, as there were only three of them on duty :o and one had to stay at the station, but tonight, there will be more of them and I'm to ring if the dogs bark for too long.

We looked at google earth - so they know where the dogs are kept and how to get to us.

Had a coffee on the way back, it's rather warm now, so probably won't do a lot  8-)

Good morning, it is clearing up to be a nice day after some rain during the early morning - including a downpour around 6.15am when we could hear dripping from the shower roof, just beside the new window  Edward phoned the builder and he says he will come today and fix it. Better now than when the new ceiling is up and painted though. No real plan for the day, probably some ironing at some stage as next week is shaping up to be busy and it would be good to get the ironing out of the way.

Morning all.....almost

Not quite as sunny today, but still up in the 70's so not complaining, it's been steaming hot all week.

Well, as you can see we've enjoyed a nice lie in 8-) We've loved having everyone here the last 5 days, but oh boy it's good to get our house back, we definitely won't miss all the early mornings  All joking aside we really have had a lovely time with them all. This last couple of years have been especially difficult as I do struggle to drive any great distance so every minute we get with them has become even more precious.

Back to normal with a bump today, we haven't been 'proper' food shopping for over a week and although we did stock up and ate out quite a bit, being invaded by a hoard of locusts has left us with empty cupboards. Four hungry boys don't leave as much as a crumb  So it's off to M&S then Tesco for us, just hoping being a Saturday doesn't mean lots of crowds.

Have a good day :D

Jen, today is definitely a day for a lie in and feet up later!
Do you drive a manual or an automatic?
I've got a new extension cord for the hedge trimmer and just as I got home the heavens opened, so I'm going to have to let the clematis dry out before I cut it. We have had Ellie and Eliza this morning. Eliza was v. grumpy but is much happier now after a two hour nap!
Son finished today with the busking, he's made about £200 from that and about £150 from on-line donations.
This evening is salmon salad and red wine. :D

I drive an automatic Crommers, goodness knows how I'd manage with a manual these days. It takes us approx 1.30hrs to get to Z and the boys and right now that's about my limit. Okay going, but starting to ache coming home and then sore for 2/3 days after, so frustrating. Hoping the regular hydro sessions will eventually help.

Evening everyone :)

Just a nice quiet Saturday here - SW meeting, Corretto's, round to D's, and then just relaxing.
