Morning everyone

Another foggy start and when it clears, will be another lovely, sunny and warm day 8-)

Shopping this morning, also need to go to the drogaria to get something to stop the munchers in the wooden ceiling, on the back terrace :cute: and also put money on the phone, collect the Glad bags and do the normal shopping. Pit stop on the way back to collect the ordered rolls - as long as they've remembered   And also get an up-date on Jose.

How is the fil Crommers?

Antonia and the toy boy are coming up this afternoon, to collect her cement mixer. We've had it here for a couple of years and keep asking her to take it away, as it's not being used. So will be glad to see the back of it.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing.

Morning all. Cloudy morning here after a chilly night. I think the first frosts aren't too far away.

He picked up a bit yesterday Jan. Still confused, he couldn't name the months of the year backwards but by the end of the day (after MrsC had cooked his dinner for him) he had picked up a bit. He wasn't so dizzy and had a better colour.
Somebody asked yesterday what care he had (Jo?). Basically it's MrsC, her sister and me. We arranged a lady to come in and clean for him one day a week as well. But it's now dawned on MrsC that she can't go on like this, running around after everybody. She's had to cancel looking after Eliza today because she is looking after her dad. Her sister is away on holiday on the east coast until Friday.
So we are going to try with the social services and see what care packages there might be. We have suggested he has hot food delivered like one of his neighbours does but he wouldn't have that. He might have to yet. He needs a blood test arranging so we'll do that.

Good luck with the blood tests Cruiser. You'll miss the cement mixer really Jan! Enjoy your birthday celebrations Osc and take it steady with the ironing Kaz.

Have a good day all.

Morning everyone

hope you get all the things done Jan and please update if you can re Jose
Cruiser, fingers crossed for good results
Kaz, enjoy your day
Osc, have fun with the celebrations; lovely to have a few :D
Crommers, it was me that asked... a friend of mine needed to get additional help for her parents and really struggled because they were so stubborn. I think the hot meals would be a good start. Not sure about where you are but in my village there is a volunteer group that helps out with getting people to/from doctors appointments, help with shopping etc. Would where your dad is have something similar, is there a local parish that maybe runs a service like it? Would be worth looking into

It's not as easy as it sounds, and yes I did have a go

We watched every series of Downton Abbey and did wonder if the film would live up to expectations, loved it. Maggie Smith was at her brilliant best. Altogether a lovely day.

Hydro again today, not till early afternoon so we've been able to enjoy a nice long lie in.

Have a good day :D
