Good Morning Friday

Morning all :)

Belting with rain here, but I have an errand in town. D rarely goes into town on her own these days, but she went on Wednesday, to meet friends for lunch, and went into M&S to buy a new top. Unfortunately the top she thought was a 12 was actually an 8 on a 12 hanger! I'm a bit cross with the service as they usually check at the till, don't they?! D is upset as she didn't check it herself, so I'm taking it back for her and getting the right size....

How is your FiL now Crommers? Hope he's better.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

My friend Emma has just started on B12 injections, how long does it take for them to start working? xx

Morning Kaz, morning Saundra. No Kaz he's no better. The blood tests came back as normal. We are going to get another doctor's appointment and discuss putting in place some kind of care plan. The main aggravating factor is that he has been a very selfish person all his life. He expects to be taken care of. He expects all the consideration to go his way when he's shown very little for anyone else ever. MrsC and her sister were both worn out yesterday - he doesn't care. He says he knows he's being a nuisance but it doesn't stop him ringing up again saying he thought they were coming over in the evening after being there most of the day. Yes he's dizzy, yes he's confused but he still tries his best to make sure he's looked after, no matter how much he's putting on other people.
Anyhow, we are going to see Eliza this afternoon and in contrast she is a little joy; so that's good.
Dull here and chilly. It did rain overnight but it has stopped now.
We are going ut for a pub lunch later, it's the very least MrsC deserves.

Good morning all, it's been a busy week!

We got the train to London yesterday, John wanted to search the military records that they have there to see of there was anything about his grandad that he hasn't already managed to get but they don't have the records there anymore. We had a good look around at the WW1 exhibits though, that was during the time when his grandad served. We went into the Holocaust exhibition too, the last time we were there the boys were with us and were too young (they don't recommend it for under 14s).

I'm not sure what we're doing today, John's still in bed but it's not long stopped raining so we'll walk Bill if it stays dry.

Crommers, he sounds so like my mother in law. She expects everyone to drop what they're doing and run around for her. You may remember that she had a drunken fall last year and broke her knee cap, she's been complaining about not being able to bend it properly since. She had physio afterwards and was given exercises to do at home but says it's not helped (but then she's probably expecting someone to do the exercises for her ;)) so is having another operation on it next week. I'm just glad she's not around here anymore or it'd be all on us! As it is, she lives just around the corner from John's sister now but she's had enough of her and just leaves her to get on with it (so John gets all of the complaints of how neglected she is). She was bad enough when she was here with no health problems! She's not old, only 71, and otherwise fit and well. She has a car and can get out and about but would rather put someone else out, and whatever anyone does is never good enough.

Oh, that's a shame, my friend is hoping they will help her :?

Crommers, I am sorry to hear that :( It all sounds very wearing :(

No you've had an interesting few days! My mum used to take me and my sister up to town a lot, to see the museums. Happy days :)

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny right now, but rain's forecast.

Your FIL sounds a nightmare Crommers, no wonder Mrs.C is exhausted. I hope a care package can be arranged, it really is time to step back a little however much he complains. Enjoy lunch out, very much deserved.

We were lucky yesterday, the rain stopped just as we left home to go shopping. It actually turned out nice. didn't need my coat at all.

I'll be phoning for the results of my Hba1c blood test later, it's easy to become complacent, fingers crossed it's still good.

Blue Wave again for us this morning.

Have a good day :D
