Good morning.

Gorgeous sunrise and forecast 20 degrees. :)

A walk shortly then back to watch last night's Masterchef.

Dealz in the afternoon as I've been informed they have mince pies and Walkers chicken crisps.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Lovely sunrise, so hopefully, a lovely day. Cooler than you Ally, only 17C for us, although warmer in the Algarve, as friends keep telling me  and no wind, which is a blessing, it was really cold yesterday

Mist in the valleys and also over the hills, in places, so looks really pretty outside, with the sun shining through fluffy white clouds. I'm not going out, just put the heater on

Off shopping later, I feel a porridge breakfast coming on  and will drop off more money to Denny's wife, this time for the mozzie doors.

Other than that, not a clue. Grumpy will probably do more work on the other panel, where the windows will be. Will have to take photos later, to show you what it looks like.

I've got some presunto to use up so will probably use that with dinner, chicken breasts and roasted onions sounds good. All wrapped in presunto :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Another day by the pool beckons, cool in the shade but definitely need the factor 50 in the sun. It never ceases to amaze me how many people lie in it without protection, quite apart from the health risks of getting burnt, crispy critter's really not a good look!!

Have a nice day :D

Morning all :)

Hope you get your goodies Ally :D

17° sounds good to me, Jan 8-) :)

Jen I don't understand it either - sunburn is so painful, apart from anything else :?

It's sunny here, but freezing cold again! I'm about to go into town to meet my friend J for a cuppa. I also have a few bits to post. Can you believe there is a danger of our city centre PO being closed down?! How can a city function without a main PO? It's certainly a hot potato in the electioneering here, so must be a distinct possibility  This country is falling to pieces....... :o :?

Love to all xxx

Morning all

A lovely crisp cold sunny winter morning here today - love days like this

Jen, enjoy the sunshine and warmth.
Kaz, chances are they'll close the big post office and move it into a Robert Dyas or WH Smith Branch. Those two shops seem to be struggling a bit so are reducing their own floor space and letting (usually half) the space to the post office. Unless they're sorting offices then I think they'll all be closed one by one and move into shops.
Ally and Jan, enjoy your respective days

A usual usual here... it's not even 10am and I'm already looking forward to going home :D So far (touch wood) I'm hardly affected by the month long train strike which is good and fingers crossed it stays that way.

I had a lovely long chat with my mom last night and with my brother who lives in the same town - so tonight I'm going to hibernate and not talk to anyone ;-)

Have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever is is you're up to. Folk in the UK - stay warm xx

Morning all. A bright and frosty morning here too. I need to get some stamps (aren't they dear?), pay the water rates and get a few bits. We are looking after Eliza this evening. MrsC isn't too brilliant, full of cold and a sore throat and chest. It would be nice if various relatives ever thought of her instead of taking her for granted but I won't be holding my breath.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, I had a reasonable night, considering. Waiting for the consultant now, don’t know if I will be let home today. In the meantime, it is a beautiful day here and I have a lovely view from my bed.

Good morning all, it's another sunny and frosty one here.

John left early for a site visit at Luton. Tom's gone to work and Joe's in college today. I'm waiting for the Tesco delivery and yesterday I arranged a 'Next Day' delivery from The Works seeing as I'd be in waiting for Tesco but apparently Hermes are overwhelmed and have a backlog so the delivery charge is being refunded and it's anyone's guess when the parcel will show up now.

Kaz, our town centre post office closed and moved into WH Smith (as did the one in Stafford) and it's far from ideal. It went from 16 counters to 4.

Hope you get your mince pies Al! I'm craving one now

Get well soon to Mrs C!

Ria, I wondered how the strike would affect you, glad that so far all is okay :D Should I mention that one of our neighbours is an official in one of the rail unions? I'll shake my fist in the direction of his house if you ever need me to, and Bill will growl at his dogs (which he does anyway, none of the local dogs like his three).

Have a good day all!
