Good morning Tuesday

Postby Ally » 10 Dec 2019, 06:34

Good morning.

Sunny but a cooler 20 degrees forecast. 8-)

Usual 2 classes this morning then nipping out to the post office to get all my Christmas cards sent off. Yesterday I got the tree up, twinkled some tinsel around the lounge and got all the gifts wrapped including the secret Santa for work and three December birthday presents. >>>>>polishes halo.  (Isn't it nice when it's all done though.) :D

Next to Primor to source an Armani aftershave that Don had a sample of in Malaga on Saturday and raved about.

Then meeting my friend for coffee and a pitufo.

Classes 4 - 7 then home to relax!

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

It will be a lovely morning once the mist has burnt off. I can see it above the mist - weird 8-)

Washing machine on and once Grumpy has played with his new tor, I'll vacuum (again  ) and then mop the floors. I'm insisting on all the furniture being covered - just in case 8-) 8-)

I was given three chu chu's by Maria Jose yesterday, and was also given about four different recipes by various people in the bar yesterday., so will stick with making soup.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Just had brekkie, up a bit earlier, planning a trip into Puerto Morgan.   The hotel runs a free shuttle bus there every day, it doesn't leave till just before 10am, but giving myself plenty to get going

The shuttle comes back here after a couple of hours, but we don't want to be rushed so will probably have lunch there and taxi back.  Morgan is actually quite close, you can actually see it from here, but there was a huge landslide a few years ago and the road is blocked so it's quite a journey to get there.  The taxi fare is 20 euros each way, hence everyone using the shuttle one way at least.

Have a good day and stay warm xxx

Morning everyone

Ally, enjoy the day - sounds like a busy but fun one; hope you find the aftershave
Jan, take some photo's of the mist - must be so pretty. And don't overdo the cleaning
Jen, have fun and enjoy the lunch. And most of all enjoy the warm weather :D

Board meeting day today so lovely lunch at some point (board lunch left overs ;-) ) Then lovely quiet day in. Last night the fish and their tank was collected and it's quite surprising just how quiet the lounge is without the constant hum of the filters; quite sad in a way but I know they'll be better looked after in their new home and the residents (they're going to a care home with a lot of dementia patients) will enjoy them as well.

And for me such good news - mom called again last night to say that she is going to be going to one of her sisters over Christmas. Her husband passed away earlier this year as well so it would have been her first Christmas on her own; so yesterday at my aunt's funeral mom and she made arrangements to be together - so happy people all round :D

Well better crack on with the day - have a lovely one everyone and stay warm x

Morning all, it’s damp and dreary here. We want to go to the supermarket but are still waiting for a packet from Amazon - I can get no online response from the courier and there is no way to talk to a human person :( :( Last night Edward ordered a new all singing all dancing Instant Pot from Amazon, goodness only knows when that will arrive *deep sigh*. So I’ll go and do some chores and then will probably have to go to the supermarket on my own so they can’t say they was no one at home - mind you, that is what is on the tracking for Monday of last week when there was someone home  I got a phone call from the brokers who do our insurance, the car insurance is due at the end of the month. I had received the quote in the post but he shaved another €25 off it, so that’s done for another year.

Just to add to Miss Osc’s troubles, SIL has been told he has psoriatic arthritis, he has to have an MRI then take steroids for five weeks to knock it into remission. He will always have it so will need to learn to manage it. Poor Michael had a little panic attack yesterday going into school, thankfully his friends alerted a teacher (this was while they were still in the yard before going in), fortunately his auntie was there and walked him home. He was anxious about maybe getting sick in the classroom after having the vomiting bug, he is a child who never throws up and found it distressing. He went to school this morning but actually held Miss Osc’s hand walking there. Hopefully he will be ok now, I can’t wait to give him a big hug.

Oh Osc, you're really not having the best time - so sorry (((hugs))). Poor Michael, what a worry for him - glad he went back in today and hopefully the day goes well and he's back to his smiley self soon. And vibes for your SIL; hope the treatment helps x

You and yours are going through it Osc. Hopefully things will improve for you all soon.
Hello all. The house is upside down and stinks of paint. MrsC has torn a tendon in her arm. I've not been struck by a meteorite yet but there's still time.
Horrible day here, I hope it is better weather where you are.

Sorry the family are going through the mill Osc

Crommers, cur some white onion up, put it in cold water, in a bowl where the pain smell is. It absorbs the smell overnight :D

Grumpy is just about to light the fire that he swept - we will see

Evening everyone :)

Lots of posts to reply to. Ria, I am really pleased for your mom, as she will have somebody to share Christmas with, and sending my very best wishes to your SIL, Osc. My mum had that, and I must admit to dreading my psoriasis going the same way, as 30% of psoriasis cases do :( ((((((Osc)))))) *Waving* to everyone else xxx

I've been to see D today, she's very worried - as we all are, about one of her grandsons. He's recently been diagnosed with Crohns (sp) Disease, but went to see his doctor with chest pains and they suspected a clot on the lung, possibly due to a recent GA! He's out in Qatar, so then had to wait for his insurance to give the nod to have scans, etc, which he's now had, and they are pretty sure he did have one, but it has dispersed! Hoping and praying that's the case. Some VV vibes would be much appreciated xxxx
