Did I tell you about...

My Thursday last week?
After last week's fiasco where Jen and I planned to meet up for lunch, watch Little Women at the new Odeon cinema in town (with reclining seats) which flopped because we didn't pre-book and the screen was full (!!), we booked yesterday at the 1pm showing.
We both had things planned for the morning, so couldn't do lunch like before, but I went to Aqua (much needed first class after Christmas) had coffee with the girls, left in loads of time for the trip to town.....only to encounter nose to tail traffic starting on the outskirts and moving VERY slowly. A trip that would usually take about 10-15 minutes was taking 45, then 50 and although I was close to the car park, there were queues for that too!! Jen was texting to say she was parked and the film was about to start....my BP was up as my face was burning, so I turned round in the CP queue and headed across the bridge to another one that I've never used before. BUT as luck would have it, there was a sign saying spaces so I managed to park and we snuck into the cinema in pitch black after the beginning of the film!!
Thoroughly enjoyed it, we came out and thought we'd go and grab a coffee as neither of us had eaten apart from some popcorn and water Jen had in the cinema. Left each other at 4.30, I had no change for the CP but she assumed it would be card payment. Lifts were out of order so I walked down the three flights of stairs, only to find there is no card payment so I had to come back out, find a cash point, then go and find a kind shop to change the £20 I got!! I FINALLY got home shortly after 5!!!
(I've been back in to town today, slightly earlier than yesterday, and it's still busy but not as bad as y/day....I have no idea why this is so!!) Just thought the story might make you smile
