Good morning.

Yesterday's forecast showers didn't start until 9pm.

It's rained through the night, dry at the moment but forecast rain later.

Nipping out now for a quick run then back to get ready and go for some retail therapy with Jacob who stopped over last night. That means lunch somewhere too. :D :D

Have a great day.

Morning Ally. It's good that the rain turned up eventually.
Dropped our daughter off at the train station at 7am, she has got a meeting in Birmingham today.
No much else on so far but we are expecting a Amazon delivery today so I need to be in for that.
MrsC and her sis to their dad's today to do his shopping etc.
Have a good day all!

Morning everyone

Cloudy but mild this morning. No wind, which is a bonus  Showers expected for the next three days :Hi:

Off to do our normal run around Ourique later. Must get a birthday card for a grandson. Since the post office was privatized, the service is rubbish. All mail locally gets sent to Castro Verde, then to somewhere else, before it gets on it's way. I'm still waiting for stuff posted from a friend in Lisbon, two weeks before Christmas :cute: :cute:

We'll pop in to see Mitchell, if he's feeling up to it, on the way back and also to see Ina and Gerrit, who want Grumpy's advice about a bench they've made.

Pit stop at the bar, to report in and then back to do something or other 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Another early morning for us. Getting ready for the journey to the hospital. Plannng to get the 10.07 fast train to St Pancras and then it's the tube to Stanmore. Should mean we arrive around lunch time, it will probably be our only chance to eat so we'll get something to eat in their restaurant before E's appointment.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning, it is dull, damp and dreary out there. Gym this morning and supermarket shop this afternoon - such an exciting life I lead! I had a CT scan yesterday and had to have a blood test two hours beforehand to check on kidney function (“because you are 70” ). So that meant time hanging around the hospital but all went well, although I have a nicely bruised inner elbow from needles :? It’ll be a few weeks probably before I hear back from the consultant. Good luck for Ed today, Jen, a long day for you both.

Hi everyone else! *Waves*

Well we've done a bit of running about! D had her car booked into a bodyshop down by the Quays for Monday - she had a minor bump a few weeks ago. Mick and I were having a nice cuppa in bed at about 8.30 when D rang - the bodyshop had a cancellation, and could she get the car there for 11? She was ringing to see if Mick could pick her up after she'd dropped the car. So we got dressed, Mick walked the dogs, then we went round.

Mick took our car down there, D and I went in hers, and we all came back to D's in ours. Then the penny dropped that she wouldn't have the car tomorrow for our usual food shopping trip, so we all went to Sainsbury's and got that done, then had a bite in their cafe.

Got back to D's, unloaded her groceries, Mick drove home to get ours unpacked and away before the frozen started defrosting, I helped D unpack hers, has a quick cuppa with her, then walked home!

Got my feet up now!!
