Morning Ally, morning everyone

Just getting light and cloudy, although quite mild.

Showers are forecast for today, which wasn't on the agenda, so will have to have a re-think about our day. We wanted a change from woodworkery and gardening, but that might not happen

Good luck to those taking the exams Ally.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Ally & JanB
It is cold and there have been hailstones coming down when I walked for the paper.
Should be going dancing tonight but may not venture out. Not driving if ice and snow are forecast.
Have a good d ay everybody.

Morning all

A crips cold and clear start to the day; but showers expected at some point.
Ally, good luck to the students
Cruiser, just had a look at our forecast, this week is meant to be OK, but next week it's going really cold = brrrr. Which means I'll need to move a few pots into the greenhouse and get some extra straw in for the chickens to keep them warm. Guess it'll be a busy weekend coming up
Saundra and Jen - enjoy the appointments
Jan, I'm sure you won't struggle with other ideas to keep you both busy - there's always something going on at your place :D

Well, usual usual for me; and planning an early night. I had scheduled a call with a friend for last night but it was 9pm before she managed to get things set up her side and we spoke for over an hour. So so lovely to catch up; but just ended up being a much later night than planned :D

Have a lovely day everyone x

Good morning, cold crisp sunny winter day here. Edward to play golf, but I am waiting in for something I ordered from M&S to be delivered. If it arrives early enough, I will head out to a nearby shopping centre to a place that does alterations, as I have a dress that needs to be taken up.......and the M&S order has just arrived! Very impressed, I only ordered on Saturday night. Right, better tidy up and go out.

Planted a few more spikey things down by the gate and pinched my stones back

Now going to sit on my bottom, on the gravel and weed near the lemon tree - can't spray near it, in case it gets into the roots.

No rain, just cloudy and not as warm as it was earlier

Good morning all, it's a sunny one here for a change

I've been to town after a bit of a panic. I was sorting out my bag, about to go, when I looked in my purse and realised that my debit card wasn't in there. No problem, I have another, smaller, purse which I take out if we're walking Bill and I need to call into Tesco on the way home. It's big enough to hold my card and a bit of cash and fits nicely into a coat pocket, and I keep it in the kitchen cupboard so went to get it and it wasn't there. Tried my dog walking coat pocket, not there. Bags for life. Nope. Handbag. No. Looked in the kitchen drawers too in case I'd absent mindedly put it in there but no luck. I'd called into Aldi on the way home from the Chase on Sunday and that was the last time I'd had it. Checked the online banking to see if there were any dodgy transactions, in case I'd dropped it and someone had picked it up and gone on a £30 and under contactless spree and that was all fine.
Phoned John at work on the off chance that I'd dropped it in the car and luckily he wasn't in a meeting or on site...and he checked the car and it was there. Phew!
Thankfully I had some cash at home or I'd have been stuck!

Have a good day all :)

Good on you!!!!

Jo, that's the one thing about contactless, isn't it.... I always thought there was a daily limit to how much you could spend using contactless, but apparently there isn't :o
