Good morning.

Very warm and sunny again. 8-)

I'm going into Malaga for the day. :cute: :cute:

A friend I've known for 40 years from Scotland is over for part of her 50th birthday celebrations and I'm going to show her the sights. (She's never been before.) She wants to walk by the port, have lunch at a chiringuito, see the cathedral and have a horse and carriage ride. I'm very happy to join her. :D :D :D

I'll be back some time tonight.

Have a great day.

Good morning!

It’s looking like it’s going to throw it down any minute here and it’s still very windy. I’ve not taken Bill into the woods this morning, I’m not sure it’ll be safe after yesterday, today’s wind might dislodge anything that hasn’t already fallen.

Tom got home around 10 last night, he said that the roads weren’t good as there were a lot of fallen branches, and Joe got back just after 1. I then watched a bit of the Oscars.

Al, that sounds like it’ll be a lovely day!

Have a good day all, and take care in this weather xx

Morning all :)

Ally, your day with your friend sounds terrific :) Have a great time 8-) :D

Well our weekend was great. How lucky were Katie and Albie with the weather? Saturday was glorious, bright sunshine and unusually warm - just one day later and the whole wedding party would have blown to bits! It was a wonderful day, full of love and happiness, and Katie looked stunning! There are some official photos on Facebook now, and I know Katie wouldn't mind me "stealing" a few to put on the photo board :) What a party later! So much dancing - all the ladies started in their high shoes and ended the night in the free flip-flops thoughtfully provided :D Nice to catch up with family, and I know Becky and Harry enjoyed it too :)

The hotel where we stayed was very comfy - Katie and A stayed there for their wedding night, so we saw them at breakfast :) Chris was going to join us, as well as B and H, but he wasn't well, so I ended up nipping to Boots to get him some Dialoryte and Immodium and dropping them round to him. Poor Chris, am about to message him to see if he's better today. The dogs behaved round at Martin's, thankfully!

The drive home was a bit hairy, so much surface water about, and those winds! Was glad to read that your boys got home safely, Jo 8-) We stopped at Membury services and I had to fight to open the car door, as the wind was so strong :o

Lovely weekend, but so tiring! Slept like a lot last night, and back to the usual Monday stuff today : D

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Good morning all. I have the house to myself. MrsC has gone to take her dad to his relative's house. In a while our daughter is bringing Eliza down. They are having their garage converted into a room and need to move some stuff into their (newly boarded) loft.
I need a phone top up, a few bits of shopping and a paper.
Weather still very odd here. Bright sunshine now, it was raining a bit since and last night we had thunder and lightning. It's much better here than in the Pennines, where some poor sods have been flooded out again.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny although it's still a bit windy, such a contrast from yesterday.

I love the Oscars, but it was on way too late for us so I taped it and will whiz through the bits I'm interested in later.

Z's on the train and should arrive sometime around 11am. The boys have gone through the cupboards and fridge like a hoard of locusts so we're completely out of fresh stuff and will need to pop over to the small Tesco later. No guesses what we'll be doing this afternoon...........collapsing

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all sunshine now and rain gales still
My tree is still hanging over the clothes line
Must invest the situation in a minute while the garden path is dry
Jen at least you won't have any out of date food
Have a good day all

afternoon all - a busy morning at work so now grabbing a bite to eat and taking the time to say hello.

Jo, sensible to not walk in the woods; definitely not safe until the wind has died down.
Ally enjoy the day with your friend; it sounds perfect

Glad everyone that was out and about yesterday got home safe; the weather really was quite something else. Was going to go home early today but now have a client meeting coming in and also had a call from the Guildford hospital saying my friend has been admitted - will post on a private board - so now will need to go round to hers after work to sort the dogs. I'm waiting for her regular dog walker to call me to see what her availability is to help out.

Another friend has just sold her house here in London and she had a lovely (albeit rather HUGE) dining table she was giving away. They very kindly dropped it off at mine on their way down to Southampton (she lives on the Isle of Wight) and I'm dying to get home and see it for myself in person - I've only seen photos :D

Other than that not much to report. Have a lovely day all and stay safe and dry

x

Afternoon all, we are just back after a little outing, we used to do these more frequently but got lazy. We went to the EPIC museum http://www.epicchq.com the Irish Emigration Museum. It was fascinating, it is astonishing what the Irish have done all over the world even though we are such a small country. Afterwards we had a light lunch and then off home. By then, it was sleeting, windy and very cold, but by the time we got off the train, it had stopped so we didn’t get wet walking from the station. I have a physio appointment at 5pm, otherwise I wouldn't be going out again brrrrrr!!
