Morning everyone

Misty this morning, but the sun is already out, so should be another lovely day.

Will get my housework head on this morning and then I'm going to try a new naan bread recipe and also make some samosas. Some for tonight, some for the freezer.

Our uber might turn up, in which case, we'll head down to the bar, otherwise, I'll just carry on weeding  Grumpy is getting rid of some big esteva stumps we cut down a few years ago. He's under orders not to cut himself this time ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing x

You must have some mega weeds Jan!
Good morning all. It is grey and raining here and supposed to be so for the next 24 hours. I don't think I've ever known such a lot of rain.
In a while MrsC goes on dad duty; sister in law id working today. Pasta tonight.
I may pay a visit to M&S today and I need a mini statement. My daughter is always telling me that I should bank online. Daughter and son in law went for a walk on Heath Common just outside Wakefield last week with Eliza and Dobby the dog. Eliza sees the Kings Arms there and recognises it; they have eaten there before. "Pub, pub!" she shouts excitedly.
"She's a girl after my own heart" says her mum!
Have a good day all.

Morning all, we didn’t get up until well after 9am this morning  Storm Dennis has yet to arrive although there has been some rain, but it’s dry at the moment. I have ironing to finish, did most of it yesterday. We are going to a Valentine dance tonight, not looking forward to driving through the wind and rain which will have arrived by then.

Good morning all. It's been raining since last night, but not heavily; it's windy - I can see the uncut grass on the back lawn eddying in the gusts  , but it's not yet a real gale. According to the Met Office, that's to come - conditions are set to worsen in the next couple of hours.

Stay safe in the storms, everyone …. :|

So it's a leisurely breakfast and morning coffee, followed by the weekly chore of soup-making. I chopped all the vegetables last night (I'm sure I'll take my finger off one of these days  ) and I'll be completing the task by dicing a couple of large Spanish onions and a couple of cloves of garlic shortly.

We finished off the last of Mrs O's homemade award-winning chutney yesterday, the batch has lasted us a good 6 months. We were tempted by Waitrose's offer of a Valentine's Day evening meal for £20, but when I looked at the options in-store, it seemed there'd have to be a heck of a lot of assembly and preparation, so I finished up buying a Charlie Bigham's ready meal Lasagne for 2 (on reduction £6), two pots of Bonne Mamman Crème Brulee (on reduction £1.75) and a small bottle of Chilean Merlot for £2.09. So a very nice Valentine Day's meal for under a tenner!

Morning all........almost

Wet and windy today

Definitely not a day to be out and about, staying indoors in the warm, got some washing on the go and that's about it.

Stay safe in the storm xx
