Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 28 Feb 2020, 06:38

Good morning.

Warm and sunny. 8-)

A stompette up and down our hills then back for bacon rolls. I need to have two as I like one with brown sauce and one with ketchup.

Happily chilling, nail painting and I'll make a list of what I need to take in my rucksack for tomorrow.

It's Dia de Andalucia today so all shops etc are closed. The bars aren't though  so it's beers and tapas as usual tonight. :D

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally.
Waiting for the arrival here of the tiny terror! Her dad will be round to pick her up this afternoon. We are taking her to baby bookworms at Wakefield library this morning.
I have found Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam on terrestrial TV and recorded a couple of episodes for her.
Not a lot on apart from that.
A very grey and still start to the day here.
Have a good one everybody.

Good morning everybody.

Should rephrase that. We are having sleet with grey skies. Went in the car for the paper and then to Asda. Mrs.e likes Schweppe peppermint cordial and this is the only shop we can get it. Also got some lime cordial as I like that.
Wont be going out again today. Just relaxing and pootling.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all :)

Enjoy your stompette, Ally :D

Have a good one Jan :) x

Morning Cruiser :) Heavy rain here - again :(

Tiny terror, Crommers? Surely not ;) Enjoy Baby Bookworms, it sounds a lot more fun than my morning

New dentist appointment for me at 11.15 :? We've all changed over from the Cheltenham one, there were various issues over appointments so B changed first, to the one D goes to. They have found some shoddy work, including a pocket of infection sealed in, requiring fixing  so Mick and I have changed too.

It's private rather than NHS but they have a good reputation. I'm a little bit apprehensive in case they find "mistakes" with me too! Hey ho

Mick is off today, still using up leave, so he's coming with me, and we're going out afterwards :)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all, it’s wet and dreary here although it might brighten up. Edward is not playing golf as his friends cancelled out for various reasons. I am not going to the gym but will meet the ladies afterwards for Friday lunch, then I have a hair appointment at 2pm. The roots look sad and my fringe is waaaaay too long so I will look gorgeous again by 4pm :D Better go and tidy around.

Morning all :D

Raining here

Have fun with the tiny terror Crommers
Good luck at the dentist Kaz.

We were very lucky yesterday, it was raining right up till we left the house and gradually got nicer as the day went on.

Not going anywhere today, got some washing on and will do a bit of tidying. We're expecting our boiler man to arrive sometime later this afternoon. We intermittently find a small pool of water on the kitchen top under the boiler. Everything seems to be functioning well and it doesn't happen every day, I've a feeling it's getting in via the flu when we've had very windy weather. Anyway Mike is coming to take a look to be on the safe side.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good afternoon all, it's horrible here - heavy rain one minute, then sleet and then snow.

I've just done my fortnightly traffic report on the motorways for a Joe, he always calls as he leaves works to see how the M6 and M5 are behaving when he's about to drive straight down to Falmouth.

The Amazon delivery that I was expecting tomorrow (big bag of food for Bill and some coffee pods) is out for delivery today which suits me better.

Kaz, I hope all goes well xx

Crommers, the library session sounds lovely! I remember going to Story Time, as it was called here, at the library every Friday when I was little, I loved it! I'd always be allowed to choose a book afterwards and always wanted The Very Hungry Caterpillar
I saw your reply yesterday, I can't believe Eliza is coming 2!!

Have a good day all :)

Hi all - late on parade today, met my SIL in town for a coffee this morning, but before I did, I tried to renew my car tax online, put in all the details, including my card details to pay, got a message saying 'something had gone wrong and please try later, no money was taken from your account', so I tried again, same message....ended up phoning it, and it went straight through. Checked my account - it's taken the money out three times!!! Lucky it was 'only' £30 a time, but still. Bank can't do anything until the status changes from 'pending'.....I am keeping a close eye...

Not sure if I mentioned....Tom has decided to go part time! He'll stop working Fridays on May 1st, technically he works overtime every day anyway so has made up his hours by Thursdays, and his Fridays are pretty much overtime, but doing it this way means he also leaves with a lump sum and then gets his proper pension when he retires proper in possibly 6 years (he wants to work until my retirement date comes, if he can). So, win-win really. Coincides with my day(s) off so we'll get a three day weekend together every other week :D
