....
Salvador, one of our town's greatest characters passed away this morning.
We saw him regularly in Jose's for any Real Madrid game as he was a massive fan and he loved that Don and I had chosen to live in 'his' town.
His funeral is tomorrow at 5pm and as is normal, family and friends stand vigil (not as morose as it sounds as it's like a pre-wake) outside his house until the cortege leaves for the church.
Anyway, Don and I feel honoured as his wife Carmen has asked us to be in the house (as opposed to outside) at 7am when his coffin is being taken to the church for the service later.
Sad occasion but he lived life to the full and was very loved and admired.
