I am crying, happy crying.

My daughter is stuck in Hanoi and because of the schools closing and lockdowns she has hardly any work and is stuck in a residence block with a mixed bag of westerners.
She's a big softy and absolutely dog mad so last autumn once she had settled in she wanted some company and so adopted a puppy, Oscar, who had been abandoned to the streets. Dogs, especially abandoned ones, are not treated well in Vietnam, which makes me wonder why they get them as pets in the first place. Anyway, she took him from the dog rescue and gave him a home..... then a few months later the coronavirus thing kicked off.
We have been sending money out for rent and food and want her to come home once the travel restrictions are lifted or the thing settles down, but she can't leave Oscar and put him back into rescue: it would break her heart.
So.... she started a crowdfunding page to get help with his vaccinations, pet passport and stuff, and in just a few days she has managed to get £740 from some bloody nice and wonderful people.... and every time I look it just makes me smile, but also brings tears to my eyes.
Just saying.
