Good morning Sunday

Postby cruiser2 » 22 Mar 2020, 07:58

Good morning everybody,

The sun is out and the wind has dropped.

More gardening today. Went for the paperand to get some more milk from a small Tesco. Only allowed on bottle.
Have a good day everybody, especcially the mothers.

Morning Cruiser, morning everyone

Misty start, but should be a good day, once that's gone. Might get some more rain 8-)

Depending on the weather, we'd both really like to do stuff outside. I need more stones to surround plants I've put in on the bank - so I don't strim them   - and a walk around and pull up some weeds.

Roast chicken for dinner 8-)

Happy Mothers Day to all mums :D :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. same weather as Cruiser here. Milk isn't too much of a problem here atm Saundra. Jan, MrsC is getting the gardening urge as well. We have a garden bench to sand down and paint.
We got some beef for Sunday dinner not least because you can still get it from the butcher as opposed to having to scrum down for a chicken in the supermarket. :)
We have no need to go out today so we won't be.
Have a good day all.

Sod's Law. It's a cracking day for Mothering Sunday but not many will be able to celebrate it.... only a Skype or a phone call.

Chins up everyone, it won't last forever, just have the best day that you can.

Good morning everyone!

Sunny, but a chill wind here in Dorset. All very quiet but some dog walkers and strollers out and about.

Gave Mrs O a box of chocs for Mothers Day yesterday evening, with an admonition not to be opened until today. Caught her red-handed - the winning ticket, if you have it, is "1.24 a.m."

Just popped out to the garage and amazed to see the contrails of a plane going over, so there still is some life going on up there. Using a nifty app I've got, I identified it as a KLM flight from Amsterdam to Quito (Ecuador), which I believe is a regular service.

After coffee, I'll go into the garden and cut some yellow forsythia to replace our wilting bunch of daffs in the vase in the living room. Pork chop, onion, cabbage and gravy for lunch.

Take care, all ….

Morning all......almost

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Had some lovely phone calls, cards and pressies. Feeling very lucky :D

Nothing much happening here, roast chicken for dinner later with chocolate blancmange and orange jelly for pud. We'll open a bottle of bubbly to mark the day too.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY xxx

Afternoon everyone.

We've had a lovely Mother's Day lunch here, and have been setting up WhatsApp so the whole family can keep in touch. Worried about D having to be alone in her house for three months, but hoping the weather will be kind as she has her beautiful garden. It's a gorgeous Spring day here.....

Stay safe and well everyone xxxx

Afternoon all x

Gorgeous here too, first day on lockdown for us....was awful having the kids call with a card and gifts for me and only being able to talk to them through the glass doors of the conservatory :( We don't even know if Tom's cough is an infection (which he is sure it is) but we have to play it safe. I had no idea my 'underlying condition' was high blood pressure, so need to be vigilant.

I've Skyped Jen for an hour or so, which was lovely, but also sad, as I'd normally have spent time with her out for a meal or afternoon tea.

I think the thing to do is look forward to when it is all over and we can live normally again, but then that signals (likely) the end of summer - oh dear!!
