Good morning Wednesday

Postby meriad » 25 Mar 2020, 07:32

And a good morning to you all - another bright and sunny start to the day but very nippy. A thin layer of frost over the grass

happy to report another usual / usual here - albeit from the comfort of my own home vs the office. And dare I admit, that we're only a week and a bit into the working from home regime and it will no doubt go on for a good few weeks past the 3 week lock down; but I am already looking forward to when normality returns and we can head back to work.

It's all a bit of a quandry here - I was meant to be having a new kitchen installed in two weeks time; and at the moment everything is still on track for being delivered this Sunday and next Tuesday. And I'm really reluctant to delay the deliveries because I need the stuff to be here the moment we can get going again. So I potentially end up with a warehouse of stuff in my lounge - eeeek. At least the cats will have fun climbing up and down boxes :D :D :D

Oh well - people survived worse things and we will all get through this and this time next year - you just wait for all those Facebook memories popping up :D

stay safe everyone and sending a big virtual (((((hug))))) to you all x

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Cloudy start, but expecting some sun later 8-)

Pile it all in a corner Ria, cover it over and just wait until it's safe to have it done.

How's H this morning Kaz?

Off to Pingo this morning. We could go at 10.00 and we might be let in, as it's over 70's and police etc for the first hour, but not going to take the risk  Will ask when we get there.

Dropping books off at a friends and collecting a couple of jigsaws from them. Not done a jigsaw for can't remember how many years

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning, Saundra, Jan and everyonr!

Loverly cloudless day after an early frost. Washing hanging on the line, and both bird baths scrubbed clean and refilled so no excuse for Ossie to neglect his ablutions. :D

Had a brief chat through the fence with elderly neighbour who is walking her equally elderly tortoise. She took in Timmy as an unwanted pet from someone else in her family, it's now well out of hibernation. Feisty beggar, keeps trying to blat it's way through our fence, and often turns turtle in the attempt. :?

Have a good day everyone

Morning all, it’s another beautiful day here. Isn’t it ironic that we are living through such difficult times and yet the weather is so lovely. I have a few bits to do today. Edward is going to take Michael and Kellie for a walk later on, I’ll walk up to their house with him just so I can see them, but then will go for a shorter walk on my own.

It is that Osc. Such beautiful weather but such dark times.
MrsC and her sister have gone to see their dad, who will doubtless still be expecting them to wait on him hand and foot, come what may.
MrsC's Uncle Jud has been taken to Dewsbury hospital for assessment. He fell again the other day. The hospital say that he is a little improved but really he needs 24 hour care now, I can't see him going home.
As said, it is just beautiful here. There is real warmth in the sun. MrsC doesn't want me to go out at all as she thinks I am more vulnerable than her. (I have a cpap machine for sleep apnoae, high blood pressure and am over weight) but I can't stay in the house for months on end, I'd go crackers. OK then, even more crackers.
We'll see.
Have a great day everyone.
