Good morning all and happy Sunday. Up bright and early as I still haven't heard from Ikea to say that they are not delivering my kitchen - so working with their 7am - 7pm slot and will keep fingers and toes crossed that by this evening my lounge will look like a warehouse.

It's a really miserable day out - no rain which is nice, but grey and dull and oh so cold again. That north easterly wind is really biting.

Well, pootling for me today; whilst keeping a lookout for the delivery guys :D May tackle my wardrobe and put stuff into boxes; ready to go to charity shops for when they open again. Or maybe a car boot sale - never done one and not sure people would actually buy clothing there (do have other things I could try sell as well).

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning everybody,

Another bright sunny day. Have done every clock apart from the cooker. Will have to get the instruction book out. Some do it automatically like the CH and TV.

Another day for cleaning. There is nothing we want to watch on TV and too chilly to sit outside.

Have a good day evrybody.

Morning everyone

Lovely, sunny morning. Bit chilly at the moment, but will warm up, as it did yesterday.

Hope the kitchen people arrive early Ria :Hi:

As we had trouble at mill yesterday (blasted laptop played up. In the end, I rang our genius, eldest son, and got it sorted in seconds    ) we worked outside yesterday and finished off the strimming down the track (me) and dug up a load of clumps of grass (Grumpy) and then came up with a new project

So a quieter day, little bit of weeding and maybe a bit of planting out.

Roast pork for dinner and I'm thinking we may eat it outside, in the new room :D

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Sigh.... not totally unexpected and I was being hopeful as I'd not heard otherwise - but no kitchen delivery from Ikea today. Their stores are closed (understandable) and no deliveries taking place. Not sure why they haven't been in touch and the website does still say it's due for delivery today but just had an online chat with someone who said everything was shut / not happening. Obviously they don't know when things will return to normal; so it's all a bit up in the air.

Oh well.... it will all happen eventually at some point in the far and distant future

Bad luck with the kitchen Ria but I suppose it was inevitable.
Nothing doing here. I did order some wine on line yesterday which should be here in three days, allegedly.
Grey here with a cold breeze. I hope there is something decent on the tv!
Have a good day all.

Good morning all, it’s sunny with a very chilly and strong wind.

I took Bill for a long walk first thing and we saw no one apart from a couple of mountain bikers.

I’ve got some ironing to do and there’s a gammon joint that’s been in the freezer for a while for dinner, it was either that or the remaining frozen cocktail sausage rolls from Christmas  I might use a couple of the eggs that John got yesterday and make jam sponge and custard as a treat, we don’t usually have pudding but I think we’ll make an exception today.

We watched Once Upon A Time In Hollywood yesterday with Joe, we’d seen it at the cinema but Joe hadn’t. It was just as good as I’d remembered it being.

Might do some crochet and some more of my jigsaw today if I can stay awake, lack of activity is making me sleepy.

Have a good day all xxx

Morning all, it is mostly cloudy here - like most of you, we also have a very cold north easterly wind. We’re already missing being able to go out for a walk but at least we have a lovely view from our window and have been on our terrace too Edward is making little mince pies which smell lovely. I’ll do another little bit of ironing, do my online word games and I intend to pick up my knitting again.
