My Dad

He’s had a fall in the garden and we’re waiting to hear what’s happening. He’s been taken to hospital by ambulance, Mom wasn’t sure which one but probably New Cross, which is a virus hotspot, in Wolverhampton and she wasn’t able to go understandably. All we know is that he’s hurt his neck and shoulder.

He’s 87 in a few weeks, Mom’s 84 and obviously we can’t go around and sit with her because we run the risk of infecting her if by chance we’ve picked up the virus, and Julie’s in the same position although she’s volunteered Rog to collect Dad should he not be kept in because she doesn’t want John going to New Cross and increasing the risk for the rest of us seeing as me and Joe and are without our spleens and Tom’s isn’t fully functioning. While I see her point I feel so bad about it because it’s well over an hour’s drive away from them, and it’s increasing Roger’s risk.

Honestly, we’ve been doing all we can between us to try and keep them safe by doing their shopping and leaving it on the drive at a safe distance etc and then this happens! Julie’s already had words with him for going shopping last weekend, just after Rog had dropped some things off for them.
