Morning Saundra :)

Ally was ok when I contacted her last, just taking a bit of a break xxx

I have a bit of a bark, but am hoping it's the pollen - there's a lot of it about.

No plans today really, other than Zumba again tonight - I haven't even got any ironing

Be safe and well, everyone xxxx

Morning Saundra, Kaz and everyone

Bit grey this morning but still warm.

Glad Ally is ok, was going to ring her later.

Kaz, it's pollen. Both coughing and sneezing here too. The estevas are out in flower and that always makes me hay fever ish.

Off to Pingo for the excitement of the weekly shop later  Grumpy had though of me doing two weeks worth, but then thought better of it. Fresh veg would be needed and I really can't be, erm, bothered, to go in twice to make sure we have enough beer ;)

Will get some washing done when we get back. As long as it0s not raining.

Stir fry for dinner :D

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning all, it’s a beauty here!

I’ve not long got back with Billy and now I’m waiting for the food delivery. It’s due within the hour.

Kaz, I’ve been getting high pollen count notifications from the Met Office for around a week now so the hay fever season is in full swing around here. I’ve stocked up on enough Beconase to get the through the next few months.

Have a good day all, please take care xx

Morning all. That's it Jan ins't it - you can stock up on things but if you need fresh veg you have to go and get them, you can't store them for long. It's a beautiful day here too Saundra. Kaz and Jo hopefully you will be ok with the pollen.
A bit of bad news here, MrsC's Uncle Jud passed away during the night. He was 87, we think. He had only just gone into a care home but we think he'd just given up. He hadn't been eating.
Funny thing is MrsC dreamed about him last night for the first time in her life. How strange is that?
In a while We are going to go up to our daughter's house and drop some teabags off for her. Ellie has decided that for the foreseeable future we shouldn't see Eliza because of the risk to us, which is right but upsetting. Fingers crossed it will only be for a couple of weeks.
Have a good day all.

Morning all - dull and nippy here which i wasn't expecting.... hopefully the sun will peak through and warm up the air

Crommers, so sorry to hear about Uncle J - he obviously came to say good bye to Mrs C last night.
Jan, agree re the fresh stuff - I've got sooooo much stuff in the cupboards and freezers, I'm sure I'd survive a few months at home. Just as well I don't need a lot of fresh stuff so I can minimise any shopping needs and what I have I'm stretching as far as I can. Actually quite interesting how habits change - I used to waste a lot of food  but now really make sure I eat things even if I have to cut half of it away because it's past it's best. My food waste now is minimal and it's really made me rethink what and how I eat

Kaz, re the cough - same here and I've had it for a few weeks now - it's a dry top of the throat one. I'm used to being in an air conditioned office / trains throughout the day so now sitting at home, doors open makes me realise just how good I have it during hayfever season when at work. I've started taking a daily antihistamine which I haven't done in a very long time

well usual usual for me :D :D :D ; the work laptop is up and running and I'm checking in every so often and doing what needs doing whilst enjoying pootling about. I tell you - when the time comes to go back to reality I'm going to struggle!

Have a lovely day all x

Morning all, another glorious day here too. Crommers, so sorry about Mrs C’s uncle, but thank goodness he didn’t have to go through the horrors of Covid. I understand how much you will miss Eliza, could they even bring her to outside the gate so you could see her and have a little chat? Miss Osc brings Michael and Kellie once a week, they stand at the door and we stand well back inside.

In a little while, I’m going to do my exercises and we also need to do our online grocery order as we have a delivery slot tomorrow. Some tidying around and maybe some ironing. Edward has been busy getting chairs and cushions out onto the terrace, as we are sitting out whenever possible. I was texting a friend who is assistant matron in a nursing home and she was telling me that both homes in their group are free, which is great to hear - they closed down visiting weeks ago.

That’s sad news Crommers, he’d come to say goodbye to Mrs C. Lots of love to you all xxx

Ria, John’s enjoying his morning commute from the downstairs living room, where he always watches the news whilst having his breakfast, to the home office on the middle floor  I bet your cats are wondering what’s happening

Good morning, everyone. Brightening up here, still quite mild. Sorry to read about the hayfever sufferers, hope you get some relief soon.

Commiserations to Mrs C and yourself, Crommers. It's a shame about Eliza but has to be for the best. But that's the times we live in ….. :|

As for the shopping - Do Not Fret about the things You Haven't Got, but Celebrate the things You Have Managed To Get.

I've just managed to buy A Cucumber! :o  Haven't seen one o' they things for a long time now. Tuna and cuc sandwiches beckon, which might make a small dent in the hoard of fish tins we've had in the back of the cupboard seemingly since the Icelandic Cod Wars. I was limited to purchasing just 4L of milk at the local shop but that will see us through Easter, so no need to brave the maelstrom of Waitrose, thank goodness. I also managed to buy a pack of One-Stop Chocolate Chip Cookies which I've now hidden, and no, I'm not telling you where ,,,, :P

Again, not many folk about, but a 1/4 mile walk to the shop becomes nearly 1/2 mile by the time I've crossed and re-crossed the roads to avoid walkers and joggers. So, a welcome cup of coffee to revive the spirits, and then perhaps some light gardening. There are at least 3 dandelions I need to massacre ..... Mrs O noticed a few piles of hedgehog scat in the garden yesterday, so spring is definitely in the air!

Keep safe, all!

PS - The post has just arrived - road tax reminder, estimated gas bill, and the long-promised letter from Boris! :D
