Morning everyone
Wet. Very. Very wet. Hammering it down
But mild
Getting up later and later
Todays plans are not a lot. We wanted to go down and water the "inside" plants at our nice neighbours but that can wait until the rain stops. And we also need to let some water out of the pool, otherwise it'll be over-flowing
I'll prep the chicken for dinner - Molly likes that, she gets some bits of raw chicken to eat
- and make a curry for Saturday.
Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning Jan and all, it’s a lovely sunny one here and forecast to be 20c today.
The washing’s on the go, the first load anyway. Once Tom’s out of bed I’ll have his bedding and get that washed. I can’t hoover yet as John’s in a video meeting so I’m trying to keep quiet.
It’ll be Cajun chicken pasta for dinner, a concoction that they all seem to love
Have a good day all, stay well - much love xx

Good morning Jan, I'm glad you are getting some rain. Jo, I reckon I'd enjoy cajun chicken pasta too.
Sunny and a bit chilly here. In a while I'll go to the Sainsbury's local, we need a few bits.
It is Eliza's bithday today, we've already had some video's sent to MrsC's phone.
Then MrsC and sis to their dad's. The carers told them that the other day when they got there he had the front and back doors wide open and the central heating set at 30. Ho hum.
Have a good day all.

Morning all, it’s sunny here but the breeze is cool. Yesterday, our health authority clarified that o/70s staying in was advisory, not mandatory, within 20 minutes of hearing that we were out for a walk! It felt so good, and we had some social interaction with neighbours too which was nice. We’ve already been for a walk this morning and will have another this evening. Since we came back, we’ve watched Anton du Beke’s quickstep lesson and practised it a bit. Now we are waiting for our grocery delivery, and later on I’ll probably get the ironing up to date, plus I have plenty of winter clothes ready to go in the attic.

Oh blimey Crommers, what a worry
Glad you managed a walk outside Osc.
We should have woken up in Barbados this morning, expect we'd have been on the beach right now. Goodness know when it will be safe to travel again.
We're expecting a Sainsbury order this evening, probably the only excitement we'll get today.
Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good afternoon everybody.
Up early to take my car for the MOT. Passed with flying colours. It is a small garage. The owner told me he willbe closing next week as he has no work. Usually it is busy and have to book more than a week in advance.
Back home had a coffee and then to Tesco. Got there just after 9.30 a.m. Had to wait in the lovely sunshine before we got inside about 10.00 a.m.
Home after 11.00 a.m. Unpacked and then had lunch.
Have had a phone call from ourdentist to say the appointment for next week is cancelled. We have one booked for July which he hopes we can keep if the lock down is
finished. We go privately so we can easily re-arrange our appointments.
Now just relaxing
Have a good day everybody

Good afternoon, everyone. Sun's come out a bit now, reasonably mild.
Nothing much to report. Woke unseasonably early. Did a bit of feather dustering. Did some more shredding of old papers. Managed to cut finger opening a corned beef can. Went for a stroll. Had lunch. Now contemplating a lazy afternoon ….
Cruiser all our local garages are already closed, although some will open for appointment for key workers only. Our MOT would have been due in May, but I'm taking the 6 months extension to November and we'll see what the state of play is then.
In the meantime, we just have to check just before the MOT date that the 6 months extension has been applied, according to the government guidelines.

Stay safe, all.

Afternoon everyone
Been a busy morning, as today is the big Sainsbury's shop. It wasn't much fun, but all done now
Dropped D's round to her, and have just had a cuppa in front of the news and Doctors
Crommers, a very happy birthday to little Eliza
Jen, I will be feeling equally reflective on May 14th no doubt! I'm sure we will get our holidays at some point, but it is a bit sad ((x))
Have a good afternoon all
xx

We'll just have to look forward to next year's holidays.....hopefully things will be normal again by then although isn't it wonderful how nature has changed since we have been locked down...less pollution and things....did anyone see that fab photo of the Himalayas from Pakistan, they've not been able to see the summit for years as it's always in a haze!
I have had a phone consult with my GP today, I say 'my GP', I've not been since the practice was merged with another one and we lost all our known doctors - we inherited strangers (other than the practice nurse and the other nurses) BUT I rang because I have woken in the night a couple of nights now with very strong heartbeat, almost palpitations, and coupled with a pain in my chest I was a bit worried. I DIDN'T want to go to hospital, I have a panic attack about the supermarket FHS! Anyway, I have also been burping lots and when I do the pain goes....sooo GP suggested I take my beta blocker tablet at night rather than first thing in a morning, and another Omeprazole so doubling my dose, but keeping the other BP meds to morning as before. Hopefully this will work, but I have been quite worried this past couple of days.
Just back from a walk, I went just round the edge of the village today, so just over 7000 steps but it's nice to feel the sun on your face, even though it's MUCH cooler here than it was yesterday, and very breezy!! I got Tom to paint the side gate and bit of fence to keep him busy......he's not handling lockdown very well, he's like a child, I have to find him a job!
Facetimed with my sister also this morning but I've not mentioned anything to her about my issue.
Just had the kids visit!!! It was so lovely to see them, obviously we stood at the door and they were at the end of the path but just great to hear their voices and their laughter. Donna rang local shops and stores to ask if they might like to donate some bottled water and snacks for the nurses at her base - they are all community nurses and have more workload than ever atm, often not having time to stop and have a drink or a break - the shops came up trumps there is tons of stuff been donated for them - she put it on her Facebook page - I will share it soon.

Brilliant that the shops came up trumps, great stuff!
