Vocal Voices

There's only 14 villas round where we live and the neighbours have always been lovely. There's a really nice air of friendliness.

They're mostly quite elderly and absolutely loved it when we moved here as we were 'foreign' and had young boys.

Mari-Carmen called round earlier with a dozen freshly laid eggs and had also made us a tortilla. Her tortillas are famous in these parts as she makes hers with an extra two egg whites.

This morning Antonia rang me to tell me she'd left something by my gate for me and it was a load of roses from her garden. How nice.

Tea tonight, no surprise, is tortilla and salad.

Perfect in this heat.

Thinking about it we've always had good neighbours....just not any who've made us tortilla.
