Over and above

I can only say a huge thank you to Dra Andrea in the chemist. (pronounced Andreya)

Rang and spoke to Dr Paulo this morning. He said there were far too many items for him to sort out and he needed the code numbers for the back plates and bags. Lazy git, just pass the hard work on :cute:

Rang and spoke to Dra Andrea, at the chemist. She said she will call the company and call me back. Did so. Small problems, which need to be sorted.

So we ditched what we were in the middle of - curry for me - strimming for Grumpy and went to Ourique. Stopped at Nelson's to get some more oil for the strimmers and then I headed to the chemist. Take your ticket and wait outside.

As soon as I went in, was told to sit down - over there please - and Dra Andrea will be with you- Took us about half an hour, lots of phone calls from her to the company, lots of questions from them as the need to know sizes and other stuff.

She learnt a lot today. Not many people know about having a stoma of any sort, so have to explain everything in great detail. But big kudos to her, she picked it up much quicker than Dr Paulo.

They will send a couple of samples - will be at the chemist on Monday - for me to try. They want to make sure I'm happy with the produce before I order.

Dra Andrea got all the product codes, ready for when I can ask for a prescription.

So I'm thinking a little thank you something for her, she was brilliant. We did most of it in English, as she likes to practice, but some words don't translate, so we were laughing at our Portuguese and English 8-)

What do you think I should get for her?

What do we Brits do best...?

Forget all these piddling little Travesseiros De Sintras, Palmiers and Pastel De Natas, get a good cake down Dra Andrea and put some meat on her .... Get on the Internet and order a good British cake book - proper cakes. Sorted.

She'0s too skinny WM, obviously doesn't eat cake.

And I don't have anything to bake it in.

 You don't bake the book. You buy it and hand it over as a present so she can bake her own cakes. She can then go up a size ... or three.

No books shops open WM. Nearest one would be Beja or the Algarve and it wouldn't be classed a essential travel, so I'd be turned back.

Florist is still shut. And the cards here are dire. I always apologise to the grandchildren
