Morning all :)

Ally, I'm on my way, is there custard or ice cream with the crumble? ;)

Saundra, that must have been lovely! :D

It's cooler here, and cloudy. I'm having a lazier day today - B is working, Mick's about to drop her up there for 9. We have chicken salad and eve's pudding for dinner.

Take care everyone :) xx

Morning Ally and Saundra, morning all

Saundra, that was such a lovely surprise. I must say I hope that the lock down is relaxed enough today so that family members are allowed to visit each other. It's been six weeks now and routines would have been established and you'd know if you had the virus by now or not. And not talking large family gatherings but two households allowed to mingle.

Ally, hope you enjoyed the run and the dinner sounds delicious!

Kaz, enjoy the lazy day x

I was up early as the chickens are up early and they make a lot of noise wanting to be let out their run :D Just as well though, as I'm planning a longish day at the allotment today and still had / have a few things to do at home before I head off. One being making oat cookies so I can take some with me - they're a good energy boost and will be needed at some point and super delicious and so simple to make. It's a cooler day today so perfect for some hard work - the last two days I've been there from 8 - 12 and it's been really warm but I'm nearly done with any prep that needed doing and from here on it should be a much easier case of routine maintenance which is a doddle. It's all the grass that's been an issue but I'm getting there.

Have a lovey Sunday everyone, enjoy x

Morning everyone

Sunshine and clouds at the moment. It rained most of the night :Hi: :Hi: and we're expecting more to come :Hi: :Hi: Rather weird, this time of year, but it's happened before. Maybe not quite so much

Enjoy our respective days. Could do with being in the garden too, but too wet, so will just have to admire it from a distance ;)

I'll finish off the housework that my back told me to leave yesterday, then have a fairly lazy afternoon.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Ria, both batches of cookies I've made recently have had oats in it - really delicious and as you say just so easy to make :D It would be wonderful if the easing today included family groups, but I have a feeling it will all be to do with working practices, hence the Sunday timing just before the working week starts....

Jan, enjoy your lazy day :) xx

Morning all. It must be ten degrees colder than yesterday here. Brrrr.
Ally I love apple crumble! Talking of ice cream, does anyone know if they still make raspberry ripple?
Saundra, what a fantastic surprise! Kaz that sounds like a nice tea. Oat cookies are good, love 'em. I hope you are keeping the ens p to the mark Ria, plenty of eggs?
Jan, enjoy the rain and the relaxing afternoon.
Nothing much on here but there is American Graffiti on one of the Sony movie channels tonight.
Bun wars have been launched. MrsC had me doing the labouring work, beating up the mixture under her watchful gaze. They were nice too! (Even though I was only allowed one!).
Have a great day all.

Morning all, it is dull and cold here with a considerable drop in temperature :( Yesterday was another gorgeous day, we went for a long walk across the golf course. In the evening we had a fun hour on Houseparty, which Michael organised for us all, his family, ourselves and my sister. We did a quiz and then a silly drawing game. After that we went for a walk around 8.30, it was such a beautiful calm evening.

Today our dance teacher friends have organised a dance class and social on Zoom, which should be a laugh. It’ll be nice to “see” some of our dancing friends. Saundra, that was a lovely surprise for you, I saw the photos on FB.

Good morning, bright but a little overcast and getting breezy, so it looks like the weather front coming south over the country may shortly be arriving here.

I switched the solar thermal heating panel back on this morning to see whether it was functioning correctly after problems a few weeks ago. Within an hour the collection temperature and pressure had soared to unacceptable levels and it had cut out, so I have enough ammunition to speak to the heating company which installed it, to see if they'll come out and look at it. It really is an Infernal Device and part of me wishes we'd just de-commissioned it rather than renew it two years ago. I wouldn't recommend them, TBH, they are certainly not cost-effective. :|

An early lunch of pork chops, onion, kale and gravy is on the way, and we'll be watching Pie in the Sky while we eat it. Thinking about it, Pie in the Sky would be a good nickname for the wretched solar panel. :D

Glad you had your family visit, Saundra.
Enjoy your oat cakes, all!
