Hello you lovely lot
I was going to say that each time I’ve come to post here this last week I’ve been interrupted...and I started to post this 2+ hours ago and GOT INTERRUPTED!
It’s been a full week, been spending a lot of time with Joe which has been lovely. With work and him being away every other weekend I’ve not seen so much of him this last year so it’s made a nice change. It was his 20th birthday last Friday and I was quite upset thinking it wouldn’t be a very good one, certainly not the long weekend in Cornwall that he’d got planned, but it actually turned out to be a really great day. It was the social distancing VE Day street party here and we only intended going out for an hour from around 5pm and ended up staying out until gone Midnight. The whole street sang happy birthday to him which was lovely. The young couple opposite us ordered fish and chips to be delivered for everyone which was really generous of them, and the neighbour who co-owns the wedding venue/hotel/bar down the lane brought a load of his stock home (obviously they’re not open at the moment and it’s going to waste).
I’ve been trying to teach myself to draw which is...interesting
Tom’s playing me up. I’ve got a habit of leaving my phone in the bedroom and he’s been taking advantage of that by playing my ringtone, which is a Green Day song, when he’s working at the table in the kitchen and I’m in there and then watches me look on every surface for my phone. I fall for it every single time. He does seem to be getting bored of that now and instead he’s found the sound of a doorbell online which he plays and watches me go to answer the door. I fall for that every single time too
I’ve been running around the streets every night this week, once it gets dark so that no one will see me I’ve made a playlist on my phone to listen to while I’m out and I’m really enjoying it.
We’d given Joe some money towards his Leeds festival ticket a few months ago, that was his main birthday present, but that’s been cancelled this week (not that it was going to happen anyway) but he’s taken the option of transferring it to next year’s festival. He’s also had his refund for his holiday this week and Virgin finally cancelled our holiday so the refund for that is being processed, we might get it by Christmas
