Good morning all and happy Sunday

Up early again to let the chickens out their run before they wake the neighbourhood. Could have (should) gone back to bed but loads to do today so may as well crack on. Quite a bit to do at the allotment and in the garden today; as of tomorrow I won't have as much time for that as I'll be starting the kitchen demolition :Hi: :Hi:

I finally managed to pot up the veg in the greenhouse yesterday; not quite sure what I'm going to do with sooooooo many tomotoes but hey... :D If everything fruits well then I'll be supplying plenty people with them as well as cucumbers and beans (although the latter I can obviously freeze)

Promising to be another very warm day today and I am absolutely loving this sunshine, but we really really really could do with a few days of solid rain now

Have a lovely day all, enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning Ria, morning everyone

Cloudy start  and we're back to our normal temperatures from now on, which is much better 8-) Rain  is forecast for later this week. Up north took a real hammering yesterday, with high winds, thunderstorms, hail and a lot of rain

Going to do the housework which I didn't get round to doing yesterday - not as though the house is dirty anyway ;) Then just general pootling, if it stays cool, I can at least do some stuff outside.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. I do hope you both get rain soon, Ria and Jan.
A beautiful day here too. Whitsuntide - what happened to the old Whit walks? That's a tradition worth bringing back.
Our front lawn is parched. Looked in the garage for a watering can rose - not there. Looked for the spray attachment for the hosepipe - not there.
So have had to order stuff from Amazon.
Roast chicken for dinner. We are plating some up for our daughter and son in law. Dobby the dog might also get a piece; he's a total guts but he runs it all off.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning all'

Wall to wall blue here and not even a breeze.

The four Muskrat's Ears are playing The Masters on the green (brown) this afternoon - six holes (buckets) in three rounds. I'll be sitting by the fairway with 'refreshments' and soaking up the sun: all socially distant as per the regs.

Have a good day tending those gardens / allotments or whatever.

Good morning - another hot, dry one. A vague chance of rain on Wednesday but I won't hold my breathe. Like many others, we desperately need a downpour.

The shrubs are wilting; we may already have lost a lavender. Just planted out the 2 strawberry plants in a growbag and an Impatiens (Busy Lizzie) in a patio tub. Washing load on the line.

Pork chops, sweet potatoes (old), onions (old), gravy, frozen veg and apple sauce for lunch. Waste not, want not! :D This afternoon, we will continue relocating to the garage in advance of the painter tomorrow …

Have a good day, all!

Morning all.......almost

Loving this sunshine 8-)

Hope you get some rain Ria...........so long as it stays over your allotment

Roast chicken for us too Crommers. The vanilla blancmange and lemon and lime jelly is in the fridge setting nicely ready for pud. So far that's as energetic as it gets and I doubt anything will change, another lazy day in the garden beckons.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, another gorgeous day here. I finally decided to sit in the sun, having been very careful all last week. This morning I cleaned the two bathrooms - and also cleaned up after a %@#€+*/ seagull who poohed through the open hatch to the terrace, it went down the bannister and steps ending up on the floor below

Crommers we also have a painter coming tomorrow but to paint the outside. Even though the boss man is a good friend, we’ll remain socially distanced and they can use the downstairs bathroom. It is a bank holiday but he has a lot of bigger jobs coming up so said he would bring his team and try and get ours mostly done tomorrow. Zoom dance class at 4pm this afternoon.

Afternoon all :)

Ooh Ria, the kitchen project!! :D Exciting 8-) :) xxx

Hope it stayed cool enough to poodle Jan :D

Crommers, Whitsun seems to be one of those things that people don't bother with any more - I remember it being a special time when I was little xxx

Frank, The Four Muskrats Ears? :D That's hilarious

Ossie, my lavender died over the winter, and I haven't managed to replace it yet, but I will :)

Enjoy your lazy day, Jen :)

Osc, I had a messy job to clear up too, but this one was my own fault! Made a curry for lunch, but as I was frying up the spices and onions the pan overbalanced and went all over the floor! A dreadful mess, and despite several goes there is still a slight yellow stain on the floor :cute:

Mick and I were up at Sainsbury's for opening at 10, as I needed my skin cream from the pharmacy, and D asked me to get a birthday card for little Poppy - she turns two on Saturday, if you can believe it!. :D I've also got two lines of washing out, and made that wretched curry!. :cute:  Chilling out now in front of an episode of Young Montalbano 8-)

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone :) xxx

Good afternoon all, just where are the days going to?

We had an early morning walk with Billy on Hednesford Hills, that’s our usual weekend morning place to walk and we don’t usually go until 10ish but wanted to get Bill’s walk done before it got too hot for him.

We’ve just had toad in the hole and veg for lunch, and I made a nectarine tray bake for pud which we had with some cream (not all of it, there’s still some left but I’m not optimistic that it’ll hang around for much longer).

I’m now tackling the worst jigsaw I’ve ever done. It’s a country scene but is mostly green. I started it on Friday afternoon and haven’t even managed to fit the edges together yet. It’s evil. I hate it. I’ve never given up on a jigsaw before but there’s a first time for everything.

Kaz, was it a year ago that you were in Weymouth for Poppy’s 1st birthday? Not sure if I’m remembering that correctly.

Enjoy the rest of the day xx

Yes, a whole year! She's growing up fast, and very cute! Doreen always shows me the photos Dan sends her :D

That jigsaw does sound the absolute pits! :cute:  Mick used to have one that was just Brussels Sprouts :? :x
