Good morning Monday

Postby Ally » 01 Jun 2020, 05:41

Good morning.

It's June which means for the next four months it'll be furnace hot.

Off for a quick run then back for a swim.

Today we enter Phase 2 of lockdown lessening which brings lots of changes. :D

One of those is the opening of shops and malls (being carefully monitored which suits me just fine :D ) so we're going to drive to Coin. The mall there is lovely, not massive but it has a Dunnes store and plenty going on for our first shopping spree in months.

I need new trainers and some running vests.... I'm looking forward to spending some money.

I also need to buy, write and post dad a Father's Day card. There's a little shop there that does postal services to the UK.

Have a good day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another grey and cooler start to the day. Got rather warm again yesterday 8-)

General pootling for us, although I need to contact my friend Fatima and ask her for some help with sorting out the post box and the post office. That might mean a quick trip into Ourique.

Some of our bigger shops can open today too, but most malls will not re-open until 15 June.

And it's children's day today :Hi:

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning Ally and Jan, morning all

A glorious sunny morning here as well; and a lovely mix of sun and overcast for the day apparently.

Ally enjoy the shopping, so glad for your countries that things are getting moving again. We start new easing of lock down today as well and three year groups in the schools return today, but still only minimal shops open.
Jan, good luck with the post office thing.

Another usual / usual day for me - a bit of this and a bit of that with some work thrown in between.

Have a lovely day all x

Good morning all, it’s another warm and sunny one.

I’ve walked Billy, just having my second coffee and then it’ll be time to hang out the washing. I’ll water the garden before that though, I planted out five trays of bedding plants on Saturday so need to keep them watered.
We had a charity bag through the letterbox last week so I can fill that too. Joe’s room was redecorated at the start of lockdown and he had a good sort out of his clothes but they’ve been in the garage ever since so I can now get rid of those. That’ll just leave quite a few boxes of toys, games and books

Al, I can’t wait to go clothes shopping. I had a big clear out of my Summer clothing, intending to buy new before we went on holiday :? Enjoy!

Have a good day all! xx

Morning all :D

Another lovely day 8-)

Would still be in bed, but was woken up by DIY noises coming from next door. E's still fast asleep

Wonder how many children will return to school today.

No plans, will probably spend the day in the garden again.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Morning all, another lovely day here, although there is a breeze. We were up at 7am as the painters were due at 8am, and indeed they arrived just before that. It’s our dance teacher friend who is a painter by trade, and he loves to talk - interesting to hear that he is the same while working, we can hear a constant stream of chat and banter between himself and his team!

I had washing on the line overnight which I have just taken in bone dry (yikes, does that mean I need to iron it :o ) and the towels are now blowing around nicely out there. I’ll be driving Edward to the golf club in a while, and I think I’ll stop on the way back and walk around the cliffs on the other side of the hill, with amazing views over Dublin Bay.
