All change on the shopping front...

Postby Ally » 09 Jun 2020, 14:29

....but very impressed.

Went to Miramar where there are lots of nice shops, cafes, restaurants, etc.

All entry doors had sanitizing stations.....as did every shop.

There's arrows on the floor indicating to walk on the right. Should you wish to divert to any shops on the left you do so at a marked 'cambio de senda'. Basically a mini roundabout.

I thought to myself if anywhere is going to be bonkers it'll be Primark. How wrong I was!!

Fantastically marked out for the 2m distancing, again arrows for going left or right.
When it came to pay (and there's always a mega queue. The Spanish love Primark  ) I was super impressed. It still has the next number to the till system but they have made it somehow, so much more efficient.
I got my coveted skinnies in lilac, mint green and duck egg blue.

The hand sanitizing feels very quickly a good thing to do. Even wearing a mask the whole time was absolutely fine.
Social distancing was (from what I saw) being observed all the time.

All in all we went into about 10 shops. I got my Pandora anniversary charm, Don was treated to lots of new clothes and we had a thoroughly lovely time.

It's so nice slowly getting back to normal.

Well done the Spanish.

We have sanitisers at the doors - in and out - but for most people they are 'optional'. A red circle with the words "No Entry" actually mans 'step this way'. A green arrow head is 'oh look, that's pretty' as they step over it the wrong way, and we never actually got to grips with metres so we still do feet and inches, except nobody now knows how big a foot or an inch is so they make it up - 'yeah, that looks OK'.

2m = 6' 6" for ref.

But well done with the shopping blitz, all you need now is a few beers and tapas. Laters, eh? ;)

Ally, I would LOVE to be able to do that - and the "skinnies" sound lovely. I will need new "fatties" after lockdown.....

Snap Kaz!!!!

What about trying on? I heard you wouldn't be able to try on in store, but then if they don't fit and you need to return them, they have to be put to one side for a few days apparently. I have to say, I've only been in a few shops but found the time spent queuing to get in - and out at the tills - really put me off doing it too often.

Glad you have had a good day Ally x

Changing rooms opening again on June 21.

I have an average body. I very rarely try clothes on before I buy them.

We've not had the mad queues to get into shops like in the UK Gal.
