Good morning - quite nice outside now after being a bit muggy earlier. No rain forecast so have been out doing a bit of watering.
Master O gifted me a "Tomato Growbar" last Christmas, so I soaked the coconut fibre medium in which the seeds were inserted a few weeks back, and left them on a windowsill, where they've happily germinated. Yesterday I planted them on into pots (well, old Pot Noodle pots actually
) and put them outside. There were supposed to be 15 plants, but somehow I've finished up with 19! Some of the seedlings are small and probably won't develop, but most are a good size, and anyway 19 cherry tomato plants is overkill for us anyway. There are supposed to be 3 varieties, including a yellow one, but there's no way to identify which is which! As the Good Book says, "By their fruits ye shall know them" ….
Otherwise, painting continues apace and Ossie has been summarily evicted from his room this week. So this is posted from our Ancient Laptop, which is seeing its first real use in years. I have even managed to connect the printer to it!
I'm a bit loathe to use anything other than cash in garages, Crommers; a number of years ago, there was big cloning scam at a large (Shell?) petrol station in Balsall Common near where we lived in Birmingham and I've been very wary ever since. A camera was set up to capture your PIN as well as the machine cloning your card details - it was all very organised / sophisticated ….
I haven't put any petrol in the car since mid-March and I've still got 3/4 tank left!
Have a good day, all
