Good morning.

Chip pan hot. Not that I have a chip pan.

Just a swim for today....saving my legs for tomorrow's yomp. With Don. David's unavailable until September so I've roped the hubster in as a substitute.

Then we're off to Cartama market. This was mum's favourite market so I'll be thinking of her. But I always am so nowt new there.

A nice lazy day by the pool is on the agenda.

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy  No doubt will clear and we'll be in for another rather warm day 8-)

Grumpy in his workshop, making doors and frames, although he0s moaning about he wood not being flat   He'll just have to make a warped door. Simples

Not sure what I'll be doing, read all my library books, it's too hot to do anything strenuous, like cleaning inside kitchen cabinets ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Ally, good idea to find a stand-in 8-) ;) xxx

Reading sounds like a plan, Jan :D xxx

Just me and himself out for a coffee and the papers this morning :) It's a beautiful sunny day, a bit breezy but that's ok 8-) Not sure what we're having for dinner later, didn't take any meat out of the freezer last night - so I might just do pasta and salad  D

Have a good Sunday everyone :) xxx

Morning all. Pasta and salad sounds good to me Kaz. Not as hot as Iberia here but a nice day all the same, in fact it is a beautiful morning.
Chicken for dinner and a bit of tv sport this afternoon.
I need to investigate if the council are still doing their removing large bulky items service or if it has been cancelled for the time being.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Bright sunshine, but it keeps coming over a bit dull and overcast, we'll see.........

(((Ally))) firsts are always difficult xx

We had nice news yesterday, eldest daughter is bringing our grandson to see us early August. She's booked an apartment overlooking Ramsgate sands for three days. We haven't seen him since last summer, he's bound to have grown a lot, he'll be 14 this October :o They normally stays with us, but M's looking after Hannah's two girls most afternoons and as they are at nursery every morning she doesn't want to put us at risk. Keeping fingers tightly crossed the weather's nice and we get to spend lots of time with them.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, not a bad day here, sun, cloud and a little breeze. We went for what we would call a “nosey” walk this morning - first to look at at the outside of a house in which Miss Osc and SIL are vaguely interested. Met Edward’s nephew and his wife who live in the same estate, and had a nice little chat with them. We saw a lot of new builds in the general area too, roads we hadn’t walked on for quite a while, so it was all very pleasant. No plan for the rest of the day.

Good afternoon - quite cloudy and a little bit of a breeze, but good gardening weather, so I've been planting out tomatoes in terracotta pots, which I hope will give them a bit more stability than growbags, because it's Windy City down here. Also harvested the garlic and gleaned 12 small bulbs. Not the size you'd find on the supermarket shelves by any stretch of the imagination, but garlic nevertheless, and they will be used to flavour soups. Mrs O was clipping back a few shrubs at the front whilst I was doing that, so all in all a productive hour or so.

Master O made a flying visit at the end of last week, and stayed a couple of nights (which he largely spent playing computer games on my computer when not dismantling his laptop on the dining room table having apparently spilt Coke over it   ). We had 24 hours notice of his arrival and decided to take the covid risk because otherwise, well, we'd just be doing nothing and seeing nobody. We were able to assemble a load of stuff for him to take back to Sussex, including his gaming computer, which he gave to us to look after "temporarily" about 4 years ago, various toys for G/S (before he gets too old for them), and certain family "heirlooms" which we felt right to pass on. They included my model railway, which he's had designs on for a number of years ...

Just as he was leaving us, next door neighbour appeared walking her tortoise down the front drive (as you do round here). It's a feisty beggar, is reputedly older than she is (she's in her early 80's I think) and takes great exception to her purple slippers which it attempts to bite (or do other nefarious things to - who knows what goes on in a tortoise's mind). Master O was fascinated and now wants one (to add to the collection of hedgehogs and slowworms in his somewhat overgrown garden), although he missed the best bit when NDN picked it up and the wretched reptile promptly widdled all over her .....

Never a dull moment in Dorset. Have a good day, all.
