Staycation!

I’m almost nervous about posting this in case things clamp down even more here, but we have a little staycation planned. On Tuesday 8th September, we head northwards to Carlingford which is a beautiful area, for two nights in a posh b&b with help from a voucher I got last year for my birthday. While there, we will meet up with our friends from Newry for a cuppa and catch up. Then back here for three nights, during which we plan to eat out or order in, then on Sunday 13th we go off to Miss Osc’s house in Wicklow for three nights and are planning a few outings in the area. We’re trying hard to make it feel like a real week’s holiday and I hope the weather gives us a break!

Osc I think that you have hit on a cracking idea to make your time a "holiday", it is a good way of looking at things - positive. Saundra, it's a shame for little Scarlett, as it is for lots of little ones. My next door neighbours have a one yr-old and a five yr-old and they have struggled to find anywhere this year. Places like Centre Parcs and Butlins are out of reach, cost wise, and that's when there are places available, so it has been a series of days out for them.

That all sounds great, Osc :) We're off to Devon for a week next Saturday! Hope it's a bit warmer than it has been here today :? xx

Saundra, I hope Scarlet enjoys her birthday holiday, and school when she gets there :) xx

Just enjoy the different scenery Osc, think we're all getting a bit fed up seeing the same four walls. Hope the weather is kind for you x

Saundra, my youngest grandson starts school this year too.

Have a lovely time Osc, life is what you make it as they say.

Fingers crossed for the weather for you and Kaz as we are off to the Lake District next Friday. No point crossing fingers for us. I've been watching the weather there for weeks, it rains and rains and rains Suppose thats why they have lakes

Well, I’ll be packing cropped trousers, long trousers, wet gear, shorts, sandals, boots, tee shirts, sweatshirts......you get the picture  One of the joys of going in the car is taking everything but the kitchen sink :cute:
