Good morning.

Set to be sunny again. Didn't even need a cardi yesterday.

Have to commend the train services I used to get to Craig's and back. All 6 trains I caught were absolutely spot on with their times. All were local services for each area I arrived and departed from so well done them. :D

Back on with the trainers and off for at least a 10km stomp....been enjoying too much good food recently.

Happily chilling out with dad today although he wants me to take him to Asda. :D

I also need to download my boarding pass to my phone app. :P

Have a great day.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool start this morning but at least the wind has gone. Need a cardi here this morning Ally, it's quite cool outside.

Pootling this morning and we're off on a mini jolly this afternoon :Hi: :Hi: Thought we'd go to Ourique - we know how to live   - and have a couple of beers at Sonia's bar and just people watch for an hour or so :D

Back for a bbq, so I need to cook the broad beans this morning. Will add feta cheese, black pepper and oil to them when they're cold. Also having cold rice, with peas, onion and garlic to go with the pork steaks and entremeadas. Sometimes bbq's seem more work than normal cooking :?

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :D

Windy and overcast, a few degrees cooler too :?

Up at silly o'clock, E's just over an hour into his 5 hour round trip to Stanmore for the swab test. He'll probably want a lie down when he gets back

Feeling a bit sore after moving the mattress yesterday, both my hip and ankle are suffering, don't plan to do too much today. I've already made the raspberry jelly and blancmange, they're in the fridge setting. Decided on veggies with the chicken rather than salad this week, a proper roast dinner will go down nicely. Apart from that nothing else planned, just got to jump in the shower and wash my hair and that's my lot, intend to do as little as possible for the rest of the day.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Morning all :)

Sunny but chilly here Ally ;) Have a good yomp, and nice day with your dad :) I was also impressed with my train journeys this week, apart from the glitch at Gloucester station where the arrivals/departures board said the 11.40 was departing at 11.29 - it was already 11.27 so I ran like fury to get to the far platform, then sat on the train for 10 minutes until departure :cute:  :P

Your BBQ sounds nice Jan 8-)

Jen, that's such a long way for a swab, poor E! :?

As mentioned it's sunny here, but chilly. We're all invited for Sunday lunch at D's, Jeff and Jayne are going back to Weymouth afterwards. D will cook - we're having leg of lamb and all the trimmings - so Jayne and I will wash up 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Morning all. Recently bak from holiday.
W were at the bottom of a river valley and the free wifi was a bit rubbish, so apologies for not posting for a week.
It was a good holiday in Ruswarp, just ouside Whitby. The cottage was five yards from the river. Whitby was packed - I've never seen it so busy. Other places were too. Ravenscar, a place where there is virtually nothing, had all but 20mtres of a 400 metre stretch of road packed with parked cars - I've maybe seen three cars parked there before!
We had cloud, sun and rain, ate out a few times and enjoyed the relaxation. :)
Roast chicken for dinner today.
Have a great day all.

Evening all, we’ve had an enjoyable day. First of all, the sun shone for most of it, which was a good start. We had a nice walk on the pier this morning, then we decided we would head to the park in case the music was on with a bit of dancing, and if it wasn’t we could still go for a walk and have a cuppa in the cafe. The musicians were playing and there were people there, although not as many as usual. We did some dancing, then a woman who was doing some kind of acting thing in the park came over and got snarky with the musicians, she reckoned there were more than the numbers allowed under the regulations and saying that at least she had a permit  So the music wound up after an hour, because the police were patrolling around the park in a car, and whatever about Miss Snarkyface, the musicians didn’t need to come to their attention. No one was looking at her acting stuff anyway, so we reckoned she was jealous :D

We headed off to the part of the park where the cafe is and had tea/coffee and cake, while listening to a group of musicians playing Irish music, which was very pleasant. We also met a couple of non-dancing friends which was nice. Home for dinner, nicely relaxed - there’s no doubt that a little bit of socially distanced socialising gives you a lift.
