Good Morning Saturday

Morning everyone

The most amazing sky this morning, black clouds, blue sky and orange and red too, where the sun is coming up. Slightly misty too. Hopefully a dry day today. We've had rather a lot of rain and it would be good to have a dry day, as we have more rain tomorrow :Hi:

Will ring the doc's once they're open, but I have to go into Ourique anyway, to get a new kettle. Boiling water on the hob just won't work ;)

Back for breakfast and ironing  Then to the bar this afternoon, to meet friends before the rather evil curry. It's rather a warm one, this one  I might just get some creme fraiche or natural yogurt when I'm in Ourique, try to cool it down a little 8-)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Janb & anybody else who is up.

A cold but sunny morning.
Someone is coming this morning to give us an estimate for new flags on the front garden. Will try to finish weeding the flower bed. It took longer
than I though yesterday.
Will then just relax this afternoon.
Have a good day everybody.

Good morning, it’s sunny and cold again.

I’ve walked Bill (or rather he’s walked me, I just let him off his lead and follow, he decides which paths we take and even decides when we’re going to head for home  ), been for a run and then walked to the post box with Bill to post a birthday card.

No other plans for today apart from a walk on Hednesford Hills with Bill this afternoon.

Have a good day all :)

Morning all :D

Another bright sunny day, wonder how long this lovely weather will last.

Hope you manage to get an appointment with the doctor Jan.
Enjoy your walk this afternoon Jo.
Hope the estimate isn't a shock Cruiser.

Did most of the washing yesterday, but held off stripping the bed. I ordered a nice new duvet and thought it would make more sense to wait until it arrived so I could do it all at the same time. Anyway it arrived yesterday afternoon so making the bed and changing the duvet is the main job for today. Could be interesting, if you don't hear from me again it's because I'm caught up in all the folds of material

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, it’s a strange day weather wise - rather murky, and the air feels very damp. Great excitement here as Edward had ordered himself a new electric piano which arrived this morning - that’ll keep him busy for a while ;) He did come out for a walk though and is currently swearing at ManU -v- Everton. I popped to the shops, got some tea lights which they finally got in, and took out some money at the post office. Nothing on the schedule for the rest of the day.

hello all

a glorious sunny day day here, just lovely. Dropped off a little hedgehog at the rescue this morning - managed to nab it last night and it's only 300gr so far too small to hibernate. Then shopping at Sainsbury's which was so so empty - probably everyone making the most of the dry weather but it was really odd just how quiet it was.

Heading over to Karl and Nadine this evening for chicken curry - yum!

Karl is coming over tomorrow to do a few more DIY things around the house for me - we're getting there slowly but surely. Once tomorrow is done then the rest is the decorative stuff, ie replaster some bits, new skirting boards and then everything to be painted. I am still toying with the idea of another radiator in the passage area but so far it's been fine with just the two that I have so I'll give it a bit more time before I make that decision. But I may go electric instead of connecting to the central heating; not sure yet.

Hope you all have a lovely day and have achieved what you wanted to do xx

Good afternoon, all! Very pleasant day here, very autumnal - weak sunshine now after the early morning mist lingered to nearly midday.

A trip to the local One-Stop shop this morning as they have a special offer on chocolate ;) . Picked up some fresh peppers and a broccoli head for tomorrow's lunch at the same time.

We've just spent half an hour or so in the garden, Mrs O scrubbing out the bird bath and the hedgehog water bowl whilst I emptied out the compost from a few now-redundant flower pots and the last two remaining growbags, putting the soil at the bottom of the garden around the shrubs. Also filled the bird feeders.

Back inside now from a cuppa and a piece of cake.

Afternoon everyone :) xx

Jan, I hope you get the doc appointment sorted ((x))

Jo, I love that Bill walks you! xxx

Jen, hope you win the battle with the duvet ;) xxx

Osc, whatever keeps them occupied   xxx

Chicken curry sounds good Ria :D I've got a chilli cooking at the moment, perfect cold weather grub ;) xxx

We have similar weather Ossie :) I've been in the garden picking lavender to dry :) xxx

Well, this morning was an early start for the Zoom SW meeting. B is working today, so it was just me. Then Mick and I popped to Sainsbury's for some dishwasher salt (I forgot on Thursday  ) and D needed bread, so we took that round and stayed for a cuppa :) then Mick went to B&Q to pick up the tiles for the ensuite (yayyyy!) This project has been a long time coming :D  I prepped and started the chilli for tonight, then stripped the bed, hoovered and cleaned the bedroom, and then the ensuite - although as that's about to all come out I don't know why I did that :cute:

Love to all :) xxx

Kaz I am jealous!! My bathroom has been on the renovation list for AT LEAST four years, I finally got my plumber round to quote me but he can't do it until Feb at the soonest. I also asked him to do the cloakroom at the same time....choosing baths, taps, basins etc is HARD!!! I had an appt at B&Q yesterday to have them design me one, but tbh she didn't really shine any more light on anything than what I already had in mind.....

Well we've had a largely grey day....the sun did appear for a few minutes but not for long, and it's cold. I've popped the heating on an hour early (timer) but this morning was mad! I whizzed the kitchen (cleaned, mopped, polished benchtops - hate them 'dull' - and moved around the bits on top, so T didn't know where anything was!) Haha! Next was the built in wardrobes - emptied the bottoms out and hoovered them and then had a 'chucky out session' - anything I hadn't used for a while went out - ended up with a trip to the tip, I ended up in the loft to find yet more unnecessary stuff which did the tip trip. I was expecting to wait ages but the tip near Spennymoor is much more efficient and well organised than the one just outside our village so that's where I went. The cupboards look so neat now! 8-)

Got a paper and some bits in Asda and have been in the conservatory since, doing crossword and having a cuppa - good day! :D

Chinese and Strictly later.

Wow, I need you round to sort my cupboards out ;)

We've not used a designer, Mick usually has a pretty good eye for what will fit, and look right. We did have a minor disagreement earlier on the size of the mirrored cabinets, whether to go for a 600 or 900mm depth! I felt the "longer" one would look too bulky in there, but in the end only the smaller one was available, so I won that one  :Hi: :Hi:
