Opinions please.

Our SW leader is trying to get our meetings back into the school hall in December! I don't think this is even allowed under Tier 2 rules, is it? Any meetings indoors mixing households banned, with the exception of sports for the disabled or elite athletes. Or do I have it wrong? :?

B and I would far rather it stays on Zoom, especially while we're D's support bubble :?

As before, social mixing outside of households or support bubbles will not be allowed indoors. The rule of six will apply outdoors.

So I think that confirms your thoughts, Kaz. I did try looking on the SW website and Facebook page to see if they had any definitive advice, but I couldn't see any. In fact, I barely escaped with my tail feathers intact!

EDIT

Found this on our local SW website - but is it really "up to date"?

Slimming World groups update
Where local guidance allows, we're back in our real-life groups. If your local group isn't able to run as normal right now, you'll be sure of a warm welcome in one of our temporary virtual groups. In some circumstances, where local guidance allows, we're running a combination of venue and virtual, where you'll weigh in at your venue then attend a virtual group session.

Just had a look and that’s how I understand it too. It says that support groups (which I suppose she may be looking at it being) can only take place if it’s necessary that they’re done in person and obviously it’s worked okay with Zoom up until now so isn’t necessary.

I think that she might be pushing this Tier 2 rule to the limit, maybe beyond.

* organised indoor sport, physical activity and exercise classes will only be permitted if it is possible for people to avoid mixing with people they do not live with (or share a support bubble with). There are exceptions for indoor disability sport, sport for educational purposes and supervised sport and physical activity for under-18s, which can take place with larger groups mixing

I'd stay away for a while longer TBH.

You see, that's how I read it too, but on the FB page for our group when she posted about possibly getting back into the hall, everyone else seemed keen - so I was wondering if it was just me! :?

It's worked very well on Zoom IMO Jo.

Even though I would opt out I can understand why many people feel that way. They argue that they can rub up against people in the supermarket and at work or on public transport so why not an exercise class, especially if it can take place 2m apart?

Tough call, but I would demur, at least for now.
