Small world and all that

For many years, especially since moving up here, I've followed the Alerta Florestal, which gives info about fires in your area. Started by a lady down in the Algarve. They raise so much money for the bombeiros down there too.
For the last couple of years, because of big fires in our area, they've started monitoring our fires as well and we've offered our land, bedrooms etc, for displaced people. Our local bombeiros travel where ever they're needed and we're always happy to donate food, water. We give them 50€ a year anyway.
Because of the pandemic, they have been unable to raise the money they normally do, so sorted out a recipe book, amongst other things. I've given them a couple of recipes and have arranged to buy two of the books.
Was chatting to the lady who organises it, on messenger, as I have to pay her for the books.
She's from just up the road from where I used to live, we even know the same people Both went to the same school And both went to the same uni Her training there, me working there.
We're going to arrange a meet-up
