Good morning Sunday

Good morning.

It's cold but crispy sunny. I like it. As I was climbing the steps of the plane to leave yesterday the sun was so warm on my back I thought to myself, I won't be feeling that for a while.

The whole trip from start to finish was as smooth as silk and having sis waiting at Glasgow airport was the icing on the cake.

I'm very happy to be here. Although it was emotional saying cheerio to Don I'd thought long and hard about my decision to travel in these scary covid times but know in my heart I've done the right thing being with dad. I'm in quarantine for 10 days, I had a covid test done on Wednesday morning so hopefully have been as stringent as possible up till now.
Michele is due to fly to Luton on Christmas Eve to meet up with Mark and they begin their drive and Euro tunnel long journey back to France.

Watching the news last night with Boris's 'Christmas is cancelled' and then Ms Sturgeon's speech was quite something. :|

Have a good day everyone. xx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Foggy start and we're in for a cold day. But dry :D

Jose Felipe is coming up sometime this morning to de-nest the chimney and net it for us. This afternoon, popping down to our nice neighbours house, check it over and pinch some lemons  then onto the other nice neighbours house with some of the lemons and also a repaired chair. We'll have a couple of beers with them, then back here.

Will prep the veg before we go, dinner is roast chicken. I always cook two, as they're so small.

Is Don flying over Ally?

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and everyone who joins in.

It is ever so still, dry, quite mild with clear skies - not even a breeze.

A couple of loads of washing and a change of bed linen should keep me occupied for a while. What an exciting life, eh? No lemons or broken chairs here, Jan, and no visiting as I am in T3. Ally, good to hear your trip went well and that you can see your dad even under the new rules.

Right, breakfast........

Good morning everybody.

The sun is trying to come out but there are a few grey clouds about.
Ally Hope you have a good time with your Dad.
Tidying up today so we will have nothing to do over Christmas. Out shopping tomorrow morning. Freezer is full but we want some veg.

Have a good day everybody

Morning all, it’s a lovely day here and we watched the livestream of the winter solstice at Newgrange - info about it on this link https://heritageireland.ie/ Edward is making a light Christmas cake and I plan to wrap all the presents, plus keep up with laundry. We might get in a walk.

Good morning all. It’s sunny and breezy here.

No plans today apart from a walk to the cemetery. My parents put holly wreaths on the graves every Christmas but can’t this year so I picked up some wreaths from the florist yesterday and we took one to the cemetery on Hednesford Hills where my Dad’s parents are buried while walking Bill. This afternoon we’ll walk to the other cemetery where my other Nan and two Grandads are buried with the other wreaths (Mom’s Dad died of polio in 1940 so one is her Dad and the other her Stepdad who was wonderful).

Cottage pie for lunch, might push the boat out and make some Yorkshires for with it

Al, enjoy every minute with your Dad and sister x

Have a good day all and please stay safe xxx

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny here, but it's actually heaving down with rain

Glad you arrived safely and can spend time with your dad Ally. I'm wondering if Don will be joining you too.
Enjoy your little jaunt to the neighbours Jan.

I'd just finished wrapping the boys presents when the news conference came on. Tbh we were expecting it, cases down here are increasing too rapidly, no surprise to be in tier 4 now. Will be speaking to Z later, she was too upset yesterday, this will be the first Christmas since Zachery was born that we haven't seen them. She's not really got over her dad's time in hospital. Apparently exercise is permitted, they are in tier 4 too so I'm wondering if she will drive down sometime in the new year to collect their presents. It would mean us just waving to them, but if they pick a dry day at least they could have a walk along the seafront.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
