Morning Jan.
A bit of excitement here last night. Two police vehicles attended the weird families house and the police were in the park at the end of our road with torches, looking for something or somebody. One police van delivered a person to their door after a while.
My resident Agatha Christie (MrsC) speculates that the younger girl has been dumped by her boyfriend and had a meltdown. It could be; I don't think either of those girls have ever been particularly happy or stable.
Apart from that we are going to get MrsC and her sis covid tested this morning and are going to Tesco this pm.
Have a good day all. I hope Kaz's test comes back negative.

Morning you two, morning everyone

Crommers, that's sad for the girls really. Whenever I read things like that I think just how fortunate I was with my upbringing and my family.
Jan, nippy here as well but no frost. It keeps looking like it may snow but all we get is rain rain and more rain :(

Well "back" to work for me today. Not that the job is busy but still; I've enjoyed the quiet down time over Christmas. So general pootling inbetween general working for me today

Have a lovely day all and stay safe

Grr, my post disappeared just as I posted it! Server error message  Trying again - Morning all

Thanks Jan, all done and dusted! Hoping it will be negative, should hear tomorrow with a bit of luck. Hope so as I don't really want to tell D unless we get a positive as she'll worry herself sick. I can make excuses for not visiting today, but two days in a row might be tricky :o Mick's at his desk as he doesn't feel too bad, playing it by ear. Becky had to ring into work, as she was due back today. Don't feel too bad, rotten headache, sore throat, occasional cough, achey, most likely seasonal :?

Crommers, good luck to MrsC and her sister, and I hope it was nothing too awful across the road xxx

Hope your first day back goes ok Ria :) xxx

Love to all xxx

We had a lot of rain and hailstones last night, today is showery and cold. We’ve taken down the Christmas tree this morning , my main job is putting lights away carefully. We’ll get all the stuff up in the attic later, just the crib left which has to stay so Kellie can put on the three kings on Thursday. I’ve a list of bits and pieces to do, first on the list is to ring the insurance company as my car insurance disc hasn’t arrived yet. I’ll make a batch of soup too, perfect soup weather. I’ve a winning lotto ticket to cash - €3, whoop-de-doo! - and another phone call to make too. Otherwise, normal stuff, or what passes for normal these days :o

Morning all :)

Wet and miserable here.

Good luck to Kaz and family and Mrs.C and sister having Covid tests today. Fingers crossed for negative results.

My job for today is taking the decorations down too, not sure if I'll get it all done, it won't be fun trying to get everything out in the garage in this weather. There could well be a stack of large storage boxes piled high in the utility room overnight. What with that and a delivery from Tesco this afternoon, it's going to be a busy day.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Jen, we've taken the decorations down too.The house looks a bit bare now.
Osc, I trust your new found wealth won't change your way of life? :D Don't spend it all at once!
It is sad for those girls Ria, there's no doubt about that. I don't think it will have been too serious Kaz, hopefully not anyway.
