Do you remember back in December when it was dark when you got up and then fully dark before tea time?

Well it's now light when you awake and you can watch it get dark as you eat your evening meal. And it gets better. We are getting more than four minutes of daylight every day. Give it a week or two and the dark recedes to after seven in the evening: then we put the clocks forward.

Things are looking up on all fronts.... it's even getting warmer.

Not Ally or Jan warm, but where they need 28 °C+ plus to get their 'kinis on we can easily make do with 17 °C, or less - not that I wear a bikini you understand. Get the Barbies cleaned up and ready to go!

My favourite time of year! I get so down when the nights start to draw in, so as soon as the shortest day is gone, I can look forward, and feel better for, the longer lighter days

Still daylight here. Blasted cold though, only 18C today (sorry)

We have a few more days of possible showers, then it's hopefully, back to normal temperatures for this time of year.

Was just chatting to my daughter and was saying that we've been having a fire every night, since October. That's two ton of wood almost gone
