After an hour and half with Sky our monthly subscription has been reduced. Tiring, but well worth the effort, our bill will now be lower than it's been for the past couple of years and, even better, we've been upgraded to super fast broadband and Netflix 8-)

You’ve reminded me that I need to call them. We just have broadband and the phone service but the contract expires this month. They sent an email with the new cost and a few cheaper deals but even they were more than we’re paying at the moment.
We’ve got that (think it’s called) broadband boost option which guarantees coverage in every room in the house but it’s very patchy and we often lose the signal in the kitchen so I might try that angle.

Jo I used their retentions department number 03442 41 44 14 When prompted say 'I want to cancel my account' it gets you straight through. I did it last year, got an even better deal this time round.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try :D
We’re a bit hamstrung with lack of competition here. There’s only really BT otherwise that suit our needs and they come in more expensive for a comparable package, Virgin don’t cover this area as there’s no cable.
