Another scam

Just received this text from Vodafone-- your bank is unable to process your latest payment please ring -followed by a number
Good job as I am not with Vodafone !

We both had a similar one from 02. Actually we do have an account with them, but our payment wasn't due so we ignored it. Oh and we've also had the texts supposedly from the PO saying we need to pay £1.99 before they can deliver.

It is good to see that VVers are wise to these things and are not getting drawn in.

I hope that we are passing on these tips to family, friends and neighbours who might not be so "savvy" as it is one of the best ways of stopping these things.

The golden rules are very simple. Never press1 or click a link. If you are with one of the claimed companies / utilities / govt agencies then find a genuine contact number / email / address from an Internet search or a bill and use that to contact them.
