Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 02 May 2021, 05:29

Good morning.

Tis going to be hot. 8-)

We're going to Nerja!

It was this day two years ago that mum passed away (the date was May 5 but it was the first Sunday in May.) It's Spanish Mother's Day too...just like it was then.

It's an anniversary I've been dreading...just like I am for this Wednesday.

So...Don booked a night in Nerja to help 'make things that little bit better.' Bless him.

We're leaving around 10 (which is the time we left to go and pick my folks up) so rather than dwelling on 'that time' I'll be thinking about our 'now time'. If that makes sense. I know mum would want me to be positive but it's still so goddam hard without her. :(

It takes just over an hour to get there so after booking in we'll go for brunch then spend the day walking and exploring and have dinner out this evening.

Hugs for Gal and T. xx

Have a good day.

PS...sorry for the gloomy start to my post. xxx

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Cool start again, but will warm up. Soon, I hope

Have a huuge hug Ally xx A very difficult time for you and well done Don, for thinking about going away x

I have no idea what I'm going to do today  Grumpy is going to strim down the drive and I might see if I can pull up some big weeds by the side of the car port. As long as they come up easily, no problem.

We had planned on a bbq later, but the weather is unseasonably cold, so it's roast pork instead 8-)

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Good morning Ally & Janb and anybody else who is up.

Ally, I know how you must be feeling. I am missing my wife and it only just overa month since she died. I even miss her nagging.

Looks like we are going to have rain as there are grey skies.
Just pootling again today.

Have a good day everybody.

Good morning all. Blue skies and sun here. Later our daughter and Eliza are coming for dinner.
Ally, those two years have flown by. It's only natural to think of our loved ones who are no longer with us on the anniversary of their passing. Don sounds like a very thoughtful and decent fellow; he's a bit of a diamond isn't he?
The probate for FiL is all done and dusted now and the money divvied up. I've never known it happen so fast. It was a very simple estate though; there was no house to sell or anything like that.
I'm expecting a wine delivery which is late. It should have arrived yesterday and looking at reviews for the delivery company, they are nearly all one star. Oh dear.
Have a good day all.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny, it's very warm out in our back garden, not so warm out the front.

((((Ally)))) and hugs for you too Cruiser xx

I managed a little weeding in the back garden yesterday, it didn't set my hip off again so plan to have a go at the front today. Roast chicken for dinner later, and this is specially for Saundra, we're having vanilla blancmange with lemon and lime jelly for pud

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, late on parade today. We set out for a walk quite soon after breakfast today, and were up on the old golf course when Miss Osc messaged to say SIL and Michael were going to play golf, and would we like to go for a walk for herself and Kellie. So we went back home to get the car and headed to her house, which was handy too as we were able to wash all the seagull poo off the car over there. Had a nice walk through the woods, which Kellie loves as people have put up rope swings and there are plenty of fallen trees for climbing. Back home for lunch, then finally got around to having our showers. We are also having roast chicken for dinner. Snooker and footie, then Call the Midwife and of course, Line of Duty tonight, really looking forward to that!

Hugs for Ally and Cruiser xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Thinking of you Al (((x))) I think your break in Nerja was a great idea. Lots of love xxx

Hope it warns up nicely for you Jan :) Take care with those weeds! xxx

(((Cruiser))) xxx

Great news about the probate, Crommers. Really glad it came through smoothly xxx

Saundra, you're such a giggle, your posts always put a smile on my face :D xxx

Take care Jen, glad your hip is letting you do a bit more! :) xxx

Your day sounds good Osc, I'm a CTM fan too so will be watching :D

Today started out sunny, so M and I treated ourselves to brunch out again :D B slept in as she was out with friends last night. We spent a couple of hours round at D's after that, sitting out on her sunny patio. Mick replaced one of the panels in her greenhouse, which had been damaged by bad weather over the winter. Home for lunch - lamb steaks, new potatoes and various veggies. I made a rhubarb crumble, as I had some fresh rhubarb to use 8-) Made a pint of custard to go with it, using goat milk so M could have some too 8-) Just got off the phone with Harry, and am about to make my weekly call to Chris.

Take care everyone :) xxx
