Good morning Friday

Good morning.

Hot. Very.

Off to do a quick run then back for a swim.

Happily pootle till my two hour private class with Reme.

Meeting Don when I finish at 6.30 for Friday beers and tapas with the gang.

Have a great day.

I got some great news regarding my 'too slow too matriculate' students.
I contacted fguma, the examination board, and after pleading with them was told my 3 students can do their exam on July 3rd after all, which is the date they had wanted. They have to each pay a thirty euro admin fee on top of the examination costs.

On contacting my students, who were suitably mortified yesterday morning, they are all more than happy to stump up the extra cost. They know they've got away with this by the skin of their teeth and won't be so lax next time!
I threatened them all with triple writing homework when I see them on Tuesday.

I'm delighted for them though. :D

Morningl! Al that's great news :D :D Lesson well and truly learned, I reckon ;) xxx

Not sure about the weather here today, it's a bit grey at the moment but I think it's supposed to improve. Becky isn't feeling at all well after her jab yesterday - she feels really rough so is staying in bed today. I'm sure she'll feel ok after some rest. My plans are either housework first, then a walk into town and back, via D's or a walk into town and back, via D's then housework ;) Decisions, decisions

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

lovely, sunny morning, but oh, that wind :cute: :cute:

Ice pack on the arm and paracetamol Kaz. Hope she feels better as the day goes on xx

Those lucky students Ally - glad you were able to sort it out x

Watering done, although Grumpy is having to do the bits the hosepipe missed

My jolly has been cancelled, I think, so I'll find something to do.

Footie later, then the last of last nights dinner. Tuna salad a la Nizette :D without the spaghetti

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all, it’s another sunny one.

Bill had an early walk before it got too hot for him. The Tesco delivery is due soon and there’s also an Amazon delivery coming today too.

I’ve just changed the beds before it gets too warm to fight with double and king size duvets

I’m also waiting for a phone call from Man Utd’s IT dept, they’ve done a system upgrade and now me and Joe can’t access our season ticket accounts. I was on and off the phone for most of yesterday so that’s carrying on today, the lady’s lovely who’s dealing with it though  I’m a bit miffed that they’ve changed the hold music though. It used to be a selection of music by the likes of Stone Roses, the Charlatans and James...now it’s just the usual repetitive plinky plonk hold music

Hope Becky’s soon feeling much better x

Have a good day all :D

morning all

Ally, well done you - that's fab news for your students!
Kaz, hope Becky feels better soon, a gentle hug from me as well. It really seems to be hit and miss just how much / little people are reacting to the jabs, regardless of make or whether it's first or second
Saundra, that is too funny - would be nice for you to see more of your family though :D
Jo, nothing worse that tinny hold music when you know you're going to be on hold for a while!
Jan, enjoy whatever it is you do eventually find to do :D

Well, a usual work morning, but packing up laptop in a bit to collect my nephew and a friend and take them go-karting - it's Thomas's delayed 18th birthday "party", he and three friends from college are going to race around the tracks. Thomas is a member and really good so no doubt he'll be speeding past all the others; oops :D But as long as they have fun - that's all that matters.

Risotto at Karl and Nadine's for dinner tonight; yum!

have a lovely day all x

That did make me smile Saundra.
Good morning all. Well done with the students Ally, I hope they appreciate you.
Jo, I hate tinkly tonkly piano music too, they use it as background music on loads of TV shows and it is a pain.
We have Eliza for a couple of hours whilst her dad gets his hair cut.
It is a beautiful morning here, lovely and sunny but not not too hot.
Tomorrow we are going to Swaledale for a week in a cottage, so I might miss a few days on here.
Have a good day all.

Morning all.

Hugs for B, well done to those students, good luck with watering, fighting with duvets, planting, karting and looking after little ones.

Problems here with t'Internet. It keeps dropping out. Spent over an hour on the phone yesterday with Vodafone and I might as well have been talking to the gate post. I am now waiting for a call from a proper engineer who will know what I mean when I say "DNS", "ping", "telnet", "Ethernet", "Wi-Fi" and other uber technical stuff.

Cloudy but warm and humid.

hope you get it sorted Frank.

Your post does make me laugh though when I think back to the time Suff very kindly came over to mine to help me as I was having endless issues with my WiFi... Sky (at the time) were adamant that it was a line issue and were asking for all sorts of tests to be carried out that just weren't resolving anything. I had tried most of them before Suff came over and Suff also had tried them. Anyway we (well Suff) was speaking to an engineer the other end and it very soon became very apparent that Suff knew infinitely more than the engineer that the engineer eventually just agreed with everything Suff said and I got my new router :D
