Dry cat food

I don't think anyone on here owns a cat, do they, but if you do, just be aware there's a fairly major recall of specialist dry cat food products, according to our local FB page.

Applaws, AVA, and two Sainsbury products involved. PetsAtHome seem to be stockists.

Thanks Ossie - glad to see you don't think I'm a mad cat lady

Sadly I have used one of the products (the Sainsbury's one) for the past month and a bit and have spent most of the morning trying to do a bit more research and also put a call in to the vet. For now it's a case of monitoring my lot and then if I feel something isn't right I'll get them to the vet asap for blood tests. Thankfully it wasn't a lot of the dry food as they have different types but still.... it is a worry and one just wonders what the heck they are putting into foods (and not just animal foods) that can cause these issues.

And my gang (and yes Shell is spot on - half a dozen is right :D ) say thank you for thinking of them and posting the warning x

Oh, wow, I'm so glad now I felt a "prompt" to post that warning, Ria. Hope you can vary their diet (I know cats can be fussy eaters) and your mogs are all OK

one just wonders what the heck they are putting into foods

Osse is now staring VERY suspiciously at his bird seed ....... :|
