Good morning Friday.

Postby Ally » 02 Jul 2021, 05:14

Good morning.

Same old scorchio.

I'll have my swim shortly then back in for a coffee.

Yesterday's cancelled haircut is today at noon.

Back home to get the car and go to Plaza Mayor. I need some perfume, a strap to go round my bulging suitcase  and pick up some chorizo that Craig loves.

Friday beers, tapas and footy. :cute:

Have a great day.

Can I ask for some good luck vibes for my B1 students please.
They've got their speaking exam this morning which is 12 minutes of torture.

They find out immediately if they've passed and if they have that'll be a real boost for the remaining exams tomorrow which are reading, writing and listening.
They then have a 4 - 6 week wait for those results.

Morning Ally, morning everyone

Another lovely morning 8-)

Took me ages to get connected this morning :cute: :cute: Had to do all the usual turn on, turn off, wiggle the sim, swear at the router, but we got there after half an hour

Off out soon, might be a long day, first to Loule, to change the light then hit the posh frock shops for Jan. Will, no doubt, also do C & A, Iceland and the normal food shops.

Depending on what time I get back, it's either chicken and clams or salad for dinner.

Best of luck to your students Ally xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Ally and Jan, morning everyone and happy Friday

Tons of vibes for your students Ally - I'm sure they'll do superbly well x

Enjoy the day out Jan and hope you get everything you want / need - and you too Ally when you go shopping

I'm going to be mobile working today - Thomas has a driving lesson at 11.30; I am taking him as both parents are at work. So I'll sit in my car for the hour with trusty laptop and phone in hand :D . Then later today Nadine, I and laptop will have a late Friday lunch whilst we wait for Thomas. Bless - he's finished his two year bridging course at college (something the college does for students from special needs schools so they can join mainstream college). Some kids will stay on at college to start a 'proper' course and others are heading on to pastures new, so one of the girls in his class has arranged a get together at a pub down the road from the college. Nadine and I are dropping him off and will stay close until he's ready to be picked up - it's the first time he's actually out at a pub on his own with mates.

Have a lovely day everyone xxx

Morning all....

We've got "weather" here, can't make its mind up! One minute it is showers and the next it is baking hot.

Good luck with the shopping, ladies, and best of luck to the young 'speakers' and Thomas with their various tests. It is good to be hearing some positivity for the young ones after all the negatives of late. Get out there and "Go for it" you only live once.

Morning all :)

Best of luck to your students, Ally 8-) :) xxx

Have fun Jan :D xxx

Is T at Brooklands Ria? That's where Harry did his sports B-Tech :) Hope his driving lessons are going well and that he has a great time with his friends :) xxx

It's a bit like that here too Frank :cute: xxx

I'm going out in a while, just waiting for a "delicates" wash to finish - it's some nice tops that I don't want to leave screwed up in the machine, or they might need ironing   I'll pop and see D later, she didn't feel well yesterday, so I went to Sainsbury's on my own. Hopefully she feels better today.

Have a good day everyone :) xxx

Kaz, he's at Farnborough College of Technology... and he's staying on the next two years to do a motor mechanics course which will hopefully give him the grounding he needs to get into aircraft mechanics; which is what he really would like to do.

The weather here is just very meh; grey, dull and nippy and a feel of drizzle in the air. I'm craving sunshine!

Morning all, not a bad day here, mostly cloud but the sun is peeping through. We had a terrific day at the golf yesterday, with incredible weather, temps up to 22.5 degrees. Numbers were limited, so we got to see the golfers close up and it was easy to move around - 5,000 spectators as opposed to the usual 30,000 or so. Having a day off today, although I have a physio appointment this afternoon.

Ria, FCT is a top college, especially for all things transport / aviation. I used to work with aircraft, RAF etc, and it is well known and respected in the industry. Good luck to Thomas, he's certainly in the right place to get on.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Good luck to your students Ally.
Enjoy your jaunt Jan.

Washing and bed change day for me. E's taking it easy, all the gardening yesterday has left him feeling a bit stiff, not the new hip thank goodness, but the one that still needs doing.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx
