Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 04 Jul 2021, 05:16

Good morning.

Normally for early July our temps are around 34ish degrees but for the past couple of weeks they've been so much higher. :o Yesterday we had a yellow weather warning and late afternoon came an amber one.

It was too hot to go out to watch the footy last night (I don't think I've ever not gone out because of the heat in the 18 years I've lived here!) so we happily stayed at home and for the first time in oooh 15 years we put the air con on.

I thought it was weird yesterday when I went into the pool around 8am as it felt like sliding into warm velvety chocolate. Not that I've ever bathed in warm velvety chocolate.

More extreme heat due today so another warm swim after I've typed this then I'll be shadey Adey for the rest of the day.

Chinese delivery tonight and we're going to watch The Father with Anthony Hopkins.

Have a great day.

Good morning Ally & anybody else who is up.

It is warm and the sun is trying to come out. Not as hot as you Ally, just comfortable.
More cleaning and putting things backin the new cupboards. It has been worth te upheaval.
Will now need new flooring. But that will wait till I come back from my cruise and everwhere is tidy.
Also the garden will want weeding so I can lie with it for a few weeks.
Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Another grey start to the day  Warm though 8-)

Grumpy will try and finish off the new lights this morning. We bought some bulbs yesterday and he'll put them in before he puts the shades up, just to make sure it's all working.

Other than that, not a lot. BBQ later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all. It is lovely here atm.
I went out to see some old friends last night and today we are having a family pub lunch, six of us plus Eliza.

Enjoy the bbq Jan and I'm glad the new kitchen is up to scratch Cruiser.

Have a good day all.

Morning all, the sun is shining rather weakly here, but there is rain forecast and I can see mist on the island. I have washing out but suspect it won’t get too dry as the air is damp. A whole lot of nothing planned for the day, I want to finish my book and do some more crochet. Golf to be watched this afternoon but thankfully no football tonight :)

We had thunder and lightning last night too Saundra. The sky was pink and when the lightning flashed the flashes were pink too.
Very unusual, I've never seen that before.

Morning all :D

Quite bright right now, but we're having regular spells of drizzle which are supposed to be continuing on and off all day.

Glad you're happy with the new kitchen Cruiser.
Enjoy the BBQ Jan.

Well done England, I'm not a football fan, but it's nice to see them do so well.

Usual quiet Sunday for us, roast chicken with salad for dinner later, raspberry blancmange and jelly for pud.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Good afternoon everybody.

We got the thunder and lightning last night as the game was on and it was muggy throughout the night as well so not much sleep. It is very warm again and is looking to be building up to more storms this evening.

A young couple have just bought a place a few doors down and have set up a gazebo for a meet and greet and a few drinks with the near neighbours later on, so that should be nice.

Apart from that not much else to do. Have a good day and enjoy whatever it is you are doing.... even if it is swimming in chocolate.
