Good morning.
I greet you from a mild and sunny looking Scotland.
Great flight over, all my form filling, testing and printing was worth it as I sailed through border control (everything having been checked meticulously Spain and here) and into James the taxi man's cab.
Was with dad within the hour.
He'd had a little op on his forehead last Wednesday to remove some returning cancer spots, so apart from that looking sore dad was fine. Frail but fine. I think since I hadn't seen him since January 1 I'd built up a picture in my head so I was pleasantly surprised he didn't look as bad as I feared.
We had a lovely evening, lots of laughs and as I was saying goodnight he said how happy he was I was here. I replied ditto.
I'm in quarantine now (although I will post separately about how I need to go out to the post office to send off my days 2 & 8 self testing kits. You couldn't make it up!!) but luckily dad's house backs onto a wood, so I'll do what I did last year and do my early morning runs without the fear of meeting anyone. Not at 5.15am for sure.
Hmmmm wondering what time it gets light as I woke up at 4.55 with it being totally light.
A day with dad pottering in his garden and reading. Same as at home except no pool and no 40 degree heat which is fine by me.
Have a great day.
