Good morning Friday

Postby Ally » 16 Jul 2021, 00:34

Good morning.

Ridiculously early but the past 36 hours have merged into a zombified mush.

I'm having my second vaccination at the Ravenscraig hub.
My lovely friend Pauline is picking me up at noon and after that we'll go and pick dad up from the hospital.

Thanks everyone for your good wishes. xxx

Good morning Ally,
Hope your dad is ok after his stay in hospital.

More cleaning and shopping today. Wil clean the windows at the back before the sun gets on them.

Have a good day everybody.

Morning Ally, Cruiser and everyone

Warm already and going to be rather a hot one 8-)

Hope all went well for your dad Ally xx You'll be glad to get him home. Hope he feels much better for having fresh blood.

Watering done, eggs arrived at a very early time and we'll do the cleaning early, before it gets too hot. I'm even putting a thick cloth over the front door, as its a lot of glass and gets rather warm, even though it's not in the sun.

Got munched last night, blasted mozzie got in, so had to move bedrooms and it took a while to get back to sleep. Might have a snooze later.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning everyone

Ally, good luck with everything today; glad dad is coming home
Cruiser, hope you get everything done you want to
Jan, sounds like your summer has arrived with a vengence? And why not have a snooze - enjoy it!

A usual / usual for me.... spent an hour at the allotment this morning; went to drop off stuff for the compost and there are just soooooo many weeds. I pulled just a few up this morning but I'll be spending all day there tomorrow just tidying and sorting and getting on top of things again.

Meeting up with friends this evening which will be nice

Have a lovely day all x

Hi all.
Hope your dad is ok Ally and good luck with the jab. Don't get sunburned Jan.
We have dropped Eliza off at playgroup and got some eggs and a paper. It's so nice here that we'll go to the park later.
While getting the eggs I bumped into an old mate who I've not seen for years. The eggs seller, me and him all used to play rubgy together back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. He's been through the mill with pain but is lots better now.
Have a good day all.

I don't sit out in it Crommers, I'd melt Just waiting for Grumpy to see if my lilo is leak free, then I'm heading for the pool, suitably slapped with suncream and a hat 8-)

Morning all :D

Lovely sunshine here 8-)

Glad your dad is coming home today Ally, thank goodness you're with him right now xx
Sounds as though you'll be busy Cruiser.
Sensible not to sit out in the sun Jan, the pool sounds very inviting.
Have a lovely evening with your friends Ria.
I expect Eliza will keep you on your toes Crommers.

We got the new plants out in the garden yesterday and did a bit more weeding. I also gave the grass and good brush and wash, it looks much better. Doesn't need doing very often, once or twice a year does the trick. The next job is to power hose the patio and driveway. It's a messy job, but really needs to be done, what with hospital etc it got missed last year so really needs doing, but not today as it's wash day. That will definitely keep me busy.

Hope you all have a good day, stay safe xx

Afternoon all, it’s a stunning day here. I went for a walk on the pier with one of my Friday walking friends, we went an hour earlier because she lives at the beach and her road gets mad busy in this fine weather. It was lovely because it was before it started getting too busy on the pier. My other Friday friend is the one who had the bypass this week and she is doing well, thank goodness. Nothing planned for the day, I’ll sit in the sun after lunch, it’s a bit too warm at the moment - not often I can say that! We’ll pop over to Miss Osc’s later on to check the house, take in her bins - also she gets a delivery of flowers every two weeks (it’s a yearly subscription thing, must have been a present), they are due today and she told us to take them :)

Big hugs for Ally and her dad, I hope he feels much better today.

Sending my very best Ally, for your dad and for your jab ((((((x)))))

Afternoon everyone, it's scorchio here, pushing 30° I've been in town, and am now at D's. I'll walk home soon, but she's nodded off in her chair so I'll wait until she wakes up ;) I have ironing waiting for me at home, I'll have to set the fan going first!

Take care in the heat everyone xxx
