Good morning Cruiser; good morning everyone

Good luck with the water meter Cruiser; will be interesting to hear just how much your bill will come down by. And once fitted and the chap is gone treat yourself to an afternoon snooze to make up for the restless night. Looks like today may be the last of the hot days and temperatures back to 'normal' as of tomorrow.

I'm about to head off to the allotment to water and then back home for the usual mix of work and pootling.

Ongoing vibes for Ally and family from me as well

Have a fab day all and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning you two, and everyone :)

Cruiser, your bills will almost certainly go down considerably, after the meter is fitted - D's certainly did, as a person living alone 8-) xxx

Ria, it will be a bit of a relief if the temps do go down a bit - I like warm weather but It's been over 30° here every day, and humid  I've watered our patio pots already, before the sun moves round.

Thoughts very much with Ally and family xxx x

We had a great evening up at Hatton Court, such a beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting. Julie rang me at about 3.30 to say they'd arrived, so we got ready and drove up, it's only three miles out of Gloucester, on the way up to Painswick. They were waiting for us, in the terrace outside, my sister stood up with her arms out and we had the biggest hug! :D Stunning views from the terrace across to the Forest of Dean. We sat under the pergola there, with soft drinks, until our table was ready at 7. Lovely food, lovely wine, lovely company! They're due round here after breakfast, we're spending the day together, and I'm doing dinner tonight :D

Love to all :) xxx

Morning everyone

Warm already and we're in for another rather hot day 8-) But we have different heat to you over there, so much better for us 8-)

How lovely Kaz, I know the area :D Have a lovely day today xx

A snooze later Cruiser, even I do, sometimes, in the afternoon. Grumpy does most days now.

Watering done here too Ria. We've tried evening, but early morning seems best.

I'll be attacking the cleaning this morning, as I'm out on my birthday treat tomorrow morning :Hi:

No cooking again, too hot. We bought a cooked chicken yesterday and that will do again for tonight, with salad.

Thinking of Ally, dad and family xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all after another restless night.

Kaz, that sounds fabulous enjoy your day with sis. xx

Cruiser, I can confirm that your bill will come down, but a quick tip, go for paper bills for the first few so that you can negotiate the DD amount.

Good luck wit the allotment and cleaning to Ria and Jan, and thoughts for Ally and her dad.

Have a good day all.

Most of the people at the allotment water in the evenings, so when I go early mornings I'm often either the only one there, or one of a handful if that and it's so peaceful. And because it's just me, I don't have to worry about using all the water. We have a large trough that we share amongst four plots and it's so incredibly slow to fill up. It's fine if it's just one person, but the moment there are two you can forget it

Kaz have a lovely lovely day with your sister today x

Morning all, it’s hot already.

Bill had a very early walk, I’ve hoovered and been to the Co op for barbecue food. We’ve decided that’s what we’re having for dinner tonight. I’m now waiting for DHL to deliver my new Apple Watch and I’ve got ironing to do too.

Thoughts with Ally, her Dad and the family x

Kaz, have a lovely day! Yesterday sounds like it was just what you needed x

Have a good day all :D

Morning all :D

Scorching again 8-)

Thoughts are with Ally and family xx
An afternoon nap's a good suggestion Cruiser.
Enjoy time with your sister Kaz.

It was lovely being by the harbour yesterday although we didn't walk as much as planned, my ankle has decided to play up again. Expecting a Sainsbury's order this afternoon, nothing else planned, will be sitting in the garden with my feet up and my kindle today.

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon all, another lovely day here, although the sun is a bit hazy. We’ve both been busy this morning, I have all the clothes ready for our night away, have had a chat with my brother, been to the library, the chemist and the post office. I also popped into a clothes shop owned by a friend of Miss Osc’s and somehow I managed to come out with two new tops 8-) In the meantime, Edward has been cooking up a storm with stuff for the freezer, we’ve had our supermarket delivery and I’ve made a batch of soup, also for the freezer. Might sit out in the sun and read for a while.
