Got downstairs at 8.40 to find a text on phone from Son 2, pick you up at 9.15/30 if you fancy coming to Goodwood Supercar charity event for Brain damaged chi!dren.

O.H. declined but I said ok. Son,Grandson (10 yrs old) and another Grandad

Got there about 10 ,walked around looking at all the different cars

Had a coffee etc then off for G.S. to choose which car he wanted to do 2 laps in decided on McClaren ! 2 laps = £100 . :o

All the time we were there the queue for tickets to ride never ended. Rides were £35 for Supercars, £70 for fast track, from £100 for Hypercar

He has a few things lined up as there won,t be a foreign or staycation this year.

Top speed along the home straight 170mph he was well happy!

Home around 2pm

Excuse my ignorance  , how does that actually work?
I assume Son 2 would be a passenger in a racing car driven by an expert ..... are they actually saloon cars, not racing cars?

Amanda bought Joe a supercar experience afternoon for his birthday one year, he loved it. He got to drive three different cars around a track, with a staff member in the passenger seat. We laughed though because he’d not long passed his test and we saw him indicate as he went around a bend at speed.
She bought him another last Christmas as well as one for John and one for her Dad, they’re all really looking forward to it.
