Here between Lee on Silent and Stokes Bay is Browndown army camp still used by the Military for training night and day this includes live firing exercises.
It faces into the sea and can be used by the public to walk though pick blackberries egg WHEN the Red Flag is not on display.
There is a notice at each entrance informing what you can or can't do.Also that you MUST not pick anything up !
When the flags are on display the gates are locked however you can swim out to get around the end of the fence which is out in the sea

So today we have a woman who does just that until she is stopped by a guy wearing hi viz who informed her that she was entering a live fire exercise which had to be called off while she was escorted out.

Perhaps she was a refugee from Boscombe beach, Vic. I gather they evacuated all the swimmers there and closed the beach for an hour or so because someone reported seeing a shark just offshore. Shades of Jaws!

If she had been injured she would have sued saying live bullets should not be used on a "LIVE" firing range which has big warning signs
