Good Morning Sunday

Postby JanB » 29 Aug 2021, 06:29

Morning everyone

Cool and a grey sky this morning We're forecast clouds and sun and a rather cool 28C

Off to the joy that is Pingo nice and early, to beat the the crowds and then back for a cooked breakfast for Grumpy. It's still too much food on a plate for me, so a bacon butty for me

The watering will be done at some stage this morning and we also have visitors. Jan and hubby are coming up. They only use what they call "the beast" to come up our track. It's a massive 4 x 4, with jacked up wheels

BBQ later, so I'll get the prep done this morning too.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning Jan and Cruiser, good morning everyone :)
Cruiser, hope you get some nice stuff at M&S, their food is good.
Jan, bacon butty sounds amazing!!!! yum

today is going to be allotment day; I've neglected it quite a bit recently so there are just soooooo many weeds, it's not funny. It's not been the best year for produce so I'm going to put some of the beds into winter rest now already - a good two months earlier than I usually would, ie layer of cardboard (to stope weeds) and that topped with soil / manure so it can all break down over winter and then be ready for next year.

Also starting a week of cat sitting for a neighbour, they're heading to the lake district this morning.

Have a lovely day everyone x

Morning all, we’re back! We had a truly lovely relaxing week, all travel went well, the hotel was great, the weather was sooooo nice. We did lots of walking, lots of mooching around Limone, ate too much food and ice cream, and Edward even drank some wine (it was free with dinner each evening ;) ) We arrived home around 7.30pm, unpacked and I got a wash on, and as it was a lovely evening with no rain forecast I put it on the line before we went to bed. Got up this morning - you guessed it - it’s mizzley and damp  No plan for the day, final bits of unpacking and not much else.

Good morning all. Grey and not warm here.
A bacon butty sounds nice, also the bbq. Don't overdo it at the allotment Ria!
Osc, I always feel that coming back from holiday takes it out of you so much, you need another holiday to get over it.
Sunday lunch soon and watching the motor bikes from Silverstone.
Need to do an Amazon order and also order some wine, we're nearly out.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny at the moment 8-)

Glad you had a lovely holibobs Osc, your photo's on Fb were great.

We were lucky yesterday, we were quite late catching the bus into town and by the time we got down to the harbour we were hungry so decided to have a late lunch/early dinner at the Royal Pavilion (spoons). It wasn't too busy so no trouble getting a table. We'd just started eating when loads of families arrived, it was absolutely tipping down and they'd all rushed in from the beach. At one stage they were queuing outside to get in. Anyway, by the time we'd finished it was dry again :D

No plans for today, roast chicken with salad for dinner later, choc blancmange with orange jelly for pud. Will be watching the Paralympics this afternoon, more medals :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Afternoon everyone :)

Osc, your holiday sounds wonderful, and as Jen mentioned, so were the photos :D 8-) xx

Enjoy your visitors Jan :) xx

I quite like M&S food too Cruiser - I bought Mick some salmon in there last week, he said it was excellent 8-) xx

I hope getting the allotment sorted isn't too exhausting, Ria :) We've just finished some lovely veg from my brother-in-law's allotment - really tasty! xx

Don't go running out of wine now Cruiser!. ;) :D xx

We're having chicken too Jen, leftover from yesterday, with salad. Tomatoes and cuke from D's greenhouse :) xx

It's a cool day here, the sun's tried to break through a few times, but there's a north wind that made sitting outside Correttto's with Fraggle in tow somewhat bracing ;) :cute: We've just got back from D's, her recycling bins were full, no way could she have got them out by herself! I've just pegged some bedding out on the line, it will soon be dry in this wind!

Take care everyone :) xxx
