Morning Cruiser, morning everyone

Was very foggy earlier, but we now have sunshine 8-)

I was asleep Cruiser  Grumpy let me have a lie-in this morning :Hi:

He's done the watering, I've got up and made the coffee

Ironing for us later, we'll divvi it up, I'll do what I can, he can do the rest

It's going to be a very warm day, so I'll head to the pool later, the salt water did the scar no end of good. Still anointing it three times a day, but I think we can stop that soon.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning Cruiser, morning Jan.
A grey day here, again. I'm glad the swimming is doing you good Jan.
I need to get a passport photo today, I think the booth at the nearest Tesco is still open; plus we'll do a little shop as well.
The weather forecaster was on about somebody called Auntie Cyclonic-Gloom this morning.
Better weather next week for sure though, because my sister in law goes on holiday then!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all :D

Dry and quite bright, but the temperature has definitely dropped a couple of degrees.

Interesting situation with our dishwasher. The original company RSL (arranged by AEG) sent an engineer who changed the sensor. When that didn't work I rang AEG who arranged for RSL to come out again on 1st Sept (tomorrow). In the meantime we were contacted by Kent Appliance World who said RSL had subcontracted all AEG repairs to them going forward. They sent an engineer last week who said it needs a new control panel, but tbh he didn't inspire much confidence, I had to show him how to remove the filter! He advised me to chase it up in a couple of days so I rang them on Friday, but the chap I spoke to didn't have a clue and to ring them again this week when the admin team would be in the office. In the meantime RSL didn't cancel tomorrow's visit and today I've had an e-mail saying they will be with us between 9-12 tomorrow. Confused or what, left hand/right hand situation!! E says to let it play out and see what the RSL engineer says tomorrow, at least their guy was familiar with our model. Watch this space.............

We managed to sort out the utility cupboard yesterday, amazing what junk you find lol Needed doing as we've ordered a new vacuum cleaner from QVC, the Shark Cordless Upright Vacuum ICZ300UKT. It's their latest cordless model which was on a one day special offer price of £299, way cheaper than from anywhere else. Hoping it's as good as shown in the demonstration, not too worried if it doesn't live up to the hype as QVC give you 60 days to try it out and if you're not happy they will collect and refund in full.

No plans for today, more Paralympics catch up later, more medals :D :D :D

Hope you all have a good day xx

Had breakfast, went for a snooze and slept two hours

So the ironing can wait until tomorrow, Grumpy is doing it :Hi:

Had a swim, water a little cooler, as I went in earlier, but still lovely to have a gentle swim.

Popping down the bar later, so Grumpy can have a beer and we can see other people

Back for another swim and then dinner. Oh the excitement

Hope you can get the dilemma sorted Jen 8-)

Afternoon all, we’ve been out and about today - got the bus into town for the first time since Christmas 2019  We wanted to get some Denby bowls, which we did, and then had a cuppa in the department store where we bought the bowls. Another vaguely normal outing, which we both enjoyed. Further lifting of restrictions here has been announced today, the hope is to have most of them lifted by the end of October, hopefully that will happen.

Afternoon all, it’s been dull and drizzly here all day.

John’s got the week off work so I’m not getting online much. We’re going for an Indian tonight to round off Tom’s six week holiday seeing as he’s back at work tomorrow.

That’s sad news Saundra :(

Crommers, where are you off to that you need a passport photo?

Osc, there’s a Denby shop at the designer outlet down the road. I could easily bankrupt us in there

Have a good day all :)

Lucky you! Our nearest outlet is in Northern Ireland which is a bit far to go for four bowls  The pattern we have has been discontinued, so we got bowls that will match in.

Saundra and Jo, it's actually a passport sized photo I needed for some ID. I got it from the booth at Tesco's and it was the quickest and easiest booth I've ever used.
That said, I'd love to go abroad next year. After this dismal August I'd welcome ten days of sun!
